On August 6th, the world's first Sany SCL10000 all-terrain truss boom crane

On August 6th, the world's first Sany SCL10000 all-terrain truss boom crane was officially delivered to Beijing Baihua Hengshi Equipment Installation Engineering Co., LTD. After the vehicle is delivered, this "new force in wind power installation" will head to the wind farm to install 6.25MW wind turbines.

After the "rush installation" in 2020, the onshore wind power industry in China has shown new development trends.

In the wind power markets of the three northern regions and mountainous areas, the height of mainstream wind turbines has developed from 100 meters to 105 meters, while the height of mainstream wind turbines with high towers in plain areas is 140 meters.

Under the combined influence of multiple factors such as the large-scale development of wind power equipment, the decline in costs, and the intensification of market competition, onshore wind power is accelerating its transition to the era of grid parity. However, the lifting equipment currently available on the market for hoisting large wind turbines is difficult to balance performance, efficiency and cost.

Crawler cranes have strong capabilities, but their transfer efficiency is generally low and their operating costs remain high. All-terrain cranes have relatively weak capabilities when dealing with lifting scenarios above 140 meters in height. The current all-terrain truss boom cranes still have a gap in capacity compared with mainstream crawler cranes and cannot meet the hoisting requirements of large-scale wind turbines.

To address the issues of capacity, efficiency and cost, the Sany SCL10000 all-terrain truss boom crane was developed.

◼︎ standard wind power operating conditions: capable of installing wind turbines at a height of 110 meters, with a capacity of 210t@17m

◼︎ super-lifting wind power condition: capable of hoisting wind turbines at a height of 170 meters, capacity 171t@30m

The SCL10000 has powerful performance. Its performance in wind power conditions is basically the same as that of 1000-ton class crawler cranes. It has a high transfer efficiency and its all-ground chassis can be equipped with turntables and masts for heavy-load transfer.

The all-terrain truss boom crane has broken the traditional design concept of crane products, integrating the rapid movement capability of all-terrain cranes and the lifting performance of truss boom crawler cranes. As a brand-new type of crane, it fills the gap in the industry. On this basis, Sany has gone a step further, not only "having", but also being more practical.
