Spanda Warm Reminder: High Temperature Warning + Three Stages of Heat: Be cautious of heat stroke during Outdoor construction !!!!
Recently, heatwaves have been rampant around the world. Affected by the tropical low-value system, there is still heavy rainfall along the southern coast of China, and the high temperatures have temporarily eased. However, in the central and northern parts of the Yangtze River Delta, the Jianghuai region to North China, widespread high temperatures will continue, and the heat in many areas may even intensify. The temperature range of 37 to 40 degrees Celsius may spread northward to areas such as Henan and southern Hebei. The public should enhance heatstroke prevention measures, reduce outdoor stay time, be vigilant against the occurrence of heat stroke, and replenish water in time to cool down.
The heat in many areas of the Jiangnan region has escalated, with the highest temperature exceeding 40℃. The muggy weather in North China will ease early next week
Yesterday, a large-scale high-temperature weather occurred in the central and northern parts of North China and the Yangtze River Delta. In some areas of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Sichuan and Chongqing, the temperature exceeded 40℃, making the weather extremely hot.
Due to the influence of rainfall, from today until the weekend, the South China and southern Jiangnan regions will gradually exit the "high-temperature group chat". However, high-temperature weather will occur in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Shandong, western Inner Mongolia, western Gansu, and northern Ningxia. With the development of a new round of rainfall, the sweltering weather in North China is expected to ease early next week. The highest temperatures in Beijing, Tianjin and Shijiazhuang on the 8th May drop below 30℃.
In the central and northern parts of the Jiangnan region, the Jianghuai area, as well as Sichuan and Chongqing, high temperatures will continue to "hit the spot", making the heat unbearable. For instance, in Nanjing, not only is it hot during the day, but the minimum temperature in the coming week will mostly be 30℃ or above. Coupled with a humidity of 60 to 70%, it makes it difficult for people to fall asleep. The hot summer is here, and air conditioners have become a daily necessity. The temperature difference between indoors and outdoors is quite large. People should not immediately face the air conditioner directly after coming back from outdoors to prevent catching a cold due to heat.
Excessively high temperatures, high humidity, low wind speeds, physical weakness, inability to adapt to heat, excessive labor intensity and duration, and overwork can all easily trigger heatstroke and even heat stroke. To prevent heat stroke, it is essential to prevent heatstroke first.
Heat stroke is the most severe condition among heat-related emergencies. Due to exposure to a high-temperature and high-humidity environment, the human body experiences regulatory dysfunction, generating more heat than it dissipates, causing the core body temperature to rise rapidly, exceeding 40℃. It is accompanied by skin burning, consciousness disorders (such as delirium, convulsions, and coma), and multiple organ dysfunction, making it a serious and fatal emergency. It is the most severe type of heatstroke. The mortality rate is 70% to 80%.
Be careful! These four types of people are more prone to heatstroke or heat stroke. People with this condition should be cautious! It is more likely to suffer from heatstroke or heat stroke
Elderly people with insufficient body temperature regulation ability and underlying diseases
Children whose thermoregulatory centers are not fully developed and whose body temperature rises at a rate 3 to 5 times that of adults
Special note: In hot weather, parents should not lock their children alone in the car. School buses and kindergartens should prevent children from being left behind on the buses.
03 Those who need to stay in high-temperature environments for long periods of time, such as traffic police, epidemic prevention personnel, steel factory workers, construction workers, outdoor workers, etc
04 Engaging in vigorous exercise in high temperatures, such as for firefighters and outdoor fitness enthusiasts, etc. 0
What are the clinical manifestations of heat stroke?
Heat stroke has three common clinical manifestations.
The first is high fever, with core body temperature mostly above 40℃.
Secondly, there are changes in consciousness caused by central nervous system dysfunction (such as delirium, drowsiness, convulsions, coma, etc.) and abnormal neurological signs (such as opisthotonus, de-cranial rigidity, etc.).
The third one is non-specific symptoms such as headache, nausea, shortness of breath, accelerated heart rate, muscle spasms or weakness.
How to prevent heat stroke?
High temperature, high humidity and high-intensity outdoor physical activities are the three main causes of heat stroke. Therefore, for people working in high-temperature and high-humidity environments, it is very important to actively enhance ventilation, drink potassium-containing beverages to replenish water and electrolytes, avoid high-intensity exercise and shorten the time of working in high-temperature and high-humidity conditions.
