Whether it is railway project subgrade excavation, pipeline laying, or the const

Whether it is railway project subgrade excavation, pipeline laying, or the construction of roads, tunnels, ports or reservoirs - the cross-application open-pit mining machine represented by the 260 SX(i) has a wide range of applications and can ensure low cost, strong power and low-carbon environmental protection for all kinds of rock cutting construction.

This machine is equipped with a cutting rotor suitable for either hard rock or soft rock. Under normal circumstances, this machine can directly load the excavated earth and stone materials onto regular trucks through the integrated unloading belt. Due to the fact that infrastructure projects often have tight schedules, when designing this machine, in addition to pursuing outstanding performance, particular attention is also paid to improving the utilization rate of the machine.

The 260 SX(i) can provide an ideal solution for demanding infrastructure engineering projects, standing out with its outstanding availability and daily output

Environmentally friendly construction methods for roadbed excavation and land leveling projects

In the process of roadbed excavation, when dealing with hard rock layers such as sandstone, limestone, SLATE or granite, drilling and blasting are often required. This will bring about intense shock waves, noise, dust pollution and toxic gases, which are harmful to human health. With the continuous tightening of environmental protection bans on noise and dust pollution, as well as the significant increase in the cost of purchasing and handling explosives, this construction method is becoming increasingly unpopular. In addition, the use of explosives is also prohibited in densely built-up areas.

In contrast, the 260 SX(i) does not require drilling or blasting but instead strips rock through a cutting process. This machine has a working width of 2.75m and a one-time working depth of up to 650mm, capable of completing all processes including cutting, crushing and loading of earthwork materials at one time. The construction process generates almost no vibration, and the dust and noise pollution is also very slight. Therefore, this method can be adopted for excavation near buildings or underground municipal pipelines and cables. The cross-section of 260 SX(i) after cutting can be used as the outline of the new road, thus saving the cost of secondary excavation and leveling.

The narrow space ensures strong cutting performance and outstanding precision

This new type of machine is equipped with a 30-liter high-torque diesel engine with a rated output power of over 1,000 hp, making it highly capable of cutting and breaking rocks. The stripped material can be directly unloaded onto the transport vehicle through the unloading belt, or it can be processed by throwing the material onto the side of the unloading belt onto the stacking belt or discharging it from the rear onto the ground.

The brand-new LEVEL PRO ACTIVE leveling system is capable of performing cutting operations with ultra-high precision, and its outstanding performance has been tested in practice in road construction and maintenance as well as mining operations. This system is also equipped with a control panel that conforms to humanized design, allowing the operator to operate the system easily and intuitively, and better bring out the outstanding performance of the machine. This open-pit mining machine has a turning radius of less than 9 meters and features excellent maneuverability. It can quickly turn and maneuver even in confined Spaces.

Ensure a worry-free working environment

The 260 SX(i) cab is equipped with a pressure-increasing dust-proof mechanism and an air filtration system, which can continuously supply fresh air to the cab. In addition to the comfortable operator's seat, there is also a trainer's seat in the cab to provide safety training for less experienced operators. The cab is also equipped with a certified integrated ROPS/FOPS system to ensure the safety of the operators. When working at night, this machine can provide sufficient lighting for the working area on and around the machine to ensure construction safety.

The 260 SX(i) features a rotatable cab installed on the front chassis, with glass Windows in all directions. It is equipped with air conditioning and has good sound insulation performance, which helps to enhance work efficiency and prevent fatigue during operation

The 260 SX(i) is equipped with a high-power lighting system, including LED searchlights that illuminate the operation area, as well as lighting for the unloading belts, boarding ladders and walkways. The rotatable cab is installed on the left side of the front chassis. The panoramic cab glass provides the operator with a good all-round view, facilitating the observation of the working area and the loading process. The operation concept of this machine complies with the latest ergonomic standards, providing an ideal working space for the operator, which helps to improve efficiency, reduce stress and avoid fatigue work.

Build a flat surface and stabilize the slope during cutting construction

In cutting construction, 260 SX(i) can create an accurate and smooth surface, which can be directly used as a road for construction vehicles or as a subgrade for newly excavated lines. On the one hand, this machine can scan the surface contour of the original passage with the help of sensors installed on the edge plate of the cutting rotor, serving as a reference for cutting leveling.

On the other hand, this cross-application mining machine can also construct brand-new cutting profiles with the help of a 3D digital system. Through the above two methods, the excavation work can be quickly initiated and the required profile can be obtained. For instance, in road construction and maintenance projects, the surface cut by this machine can provide an ideal foundation for the subsequent surface layer paving. This machine can strictly construct a stable slope in accordance with the predetermined inclination Angle during cutting construction, thus ensuring safety and minimizing the need for additional excavation.

Tunnel construction

Building new tunnels or lowering the base of existing ones often requires work in confined Spaces, and during the construction process, it is frequently necessary to ensure the unobstructed flow of other parallel traffic routes. Therefore, most of the time, blasting and rock blasting cannot be carried out. The Wirtgen cross-application mining machine can precisely and with low vibration remove the base, reducing the tunnel profile to the required height.

The 260 SX(i) has a compact structure. Even when working in narrow tunnels, its configuration can be adjusted to achieve efficient operation

To facilitate operation in tunnels, the cab of the mining machine can also be directly installed above the left front track unit, thereby reducing the height of the mining machine. Under this working condition, the machine can remove the belt conveyor and adopt the operation mode of discharging materials at the back and stacking them on the ground. Therefore, even in tunnels with limited space, the 260 SX(i) can fully demonstrate its powerful potential and complete construction tasks with outstanding performance.
