Measures for handling construction machinery that can also suffer from heatstroke
Many people may not believe that construction machinery can also suffer from "heatstroke", but this is neither a groundless claim nor a publicity stunt; it is an undeniable fact. People are afraid of heat, and so are machines. Especially for old imported or domestic hydraulic excavators that have been in service for a long time, they are particularly sensitive to temperature. High temperatures often make them stop working when they should, and they feel better when it's cooler for a while, but their efficiency is greatly reduced. This is the machine getting "heatstroke". What should be done if a liquid digger gets "heatstroke"? Now I'll talk about a few countermeasures.
(1) High-temperature phenomenon: Most users have reported that before the hydraulic excavator "suffered from heatstroke", the starting force and speed were normal, but after working for one or two hours, the machine slowed down and the digging became dull. Sometimes the engine is still smoking. If you keep working, it will stall and you need to stop to cool down before continuing. The work efficiency is greatly reduced.
(2) Reasons for high temperature: ① As the hydraulic excavator is a mechanical device with a relatively high working intensity in the hydraulic system, it needs to maintain continuous operation under high pressure all the time. If the cooling and heat dissipation intensity is insufficient, the machine will overheat due to continuous temperature rise. ② Due to mechanical aging and wear of hydraulic components, the internal leakage gradually increases. Hydraulic oil generates temperature due to internal leakage under high pressure, and excessive internal leakage also increases the load on the cooling system, thereby raising the temperature. ③ As the temperature rises, the hydraulic oil gradually thins. Reducing the viscosity of the hydraulic oil causes the internal leakage of each hydraulic component to gradually increase, lowering the working pressure and resulting in weak operation. ④ Due to the wear of hydraulic components, the temperature rises and internal leakage increases, gradually reducing the function of the hydraulic pump regulation system. This leads to a decrease in the variable function of the pump, causing the engine load to increase and resulting in abnormal operation or engine stalling.
(3) Troubleshooting: Based on years of maintenance experience with hydraulic excavators, the following measures can be taken for the above phenomena.
① Forced cooling: Some people simply install a blower on the machine, which slightly alleviates the high temperature, but it is still not ideal and does not look aesthetically pleasing.
② Eliminate internal leakage: Conduct test bench tests on the hydraulic components of old machinery. If the working pressure is insufficient, the power is inadequate, the variable speed is unstable or constant, or the internal leakage is severe, disassemble and inspect the hydraulic components to check whether the wear degree of the hydraulic components has reached the limit. Then, replace the components according to the specific situation to alleviate and eliminate internal leakage. For the mating parts that are not easy to replace, then the replacement or modification of the main components should be considered.
③ Improve hydraulic heat dissipation. As the internal leakage of the hydraulic system increases, the heat dissipation load also rises. Enhancing the heat dissipation of the cooling system is also a way to lower the temperature of the hydraulic oil.
④ Select high-quality hydraulic oil to achieve functions such as reducing temperature rise, lowering oil viscosity and others.
⑤ Modification of imported machines: Over the years, we have carried out modifications on various imported hydraulic excavators and achieved remarkable results. By choosing high-quality domestic complete components for replacement, not only is the procurement cost of imported components reduced, but also the quality is stable and reliable. It has now become the main business of our company.
