In terms of design, the manipulator adopts a unique arc-shaped clamping arm design. This design enables the clamping arm to fit the tire tread more closely, significantly enhancing the stability and safety of the clamping. Meanwhile, the mechanical hand is precisely controlled through the hydraulic system, enabling flexible movement of the clamped tires in the front and back, up and down, left and right directions, as well as tilting left and right and rotating 360° front and back. In addition, it is equipped with a camera monitoring system, allowing operators to observe the installation of the tires in real time and clearly, thereby achieving high-efficiency grasping and precise control.

Compared with traditional tire changing methods, the large tire robot of Liugong has significant advantages. The traditional way of changing tires is not only inefficient but also poses many safety hazards during the operation process.
