The XG970HEV long-range alcohol-hydrogen loader was officially launched and went on sale at the northern production base in Jiaozuo. This is another significant new product to XCMG's new energy product family following the release of the XG955KM methanol new energy product

At the press conference, Zou Zifan, assistant general manager of Xiamen Jiaozuo Company, introduced in his speech that XCMG has newly launched this industry-first methanol range-extended hybrid loader. This not only showcases XCMG's breakthrough achievements in green power technology but also strongly promotes the new trend of low-carbon transformation in the construction machinery industry. It also provides innovative solutions for green construction under the country's "dual carbon" goals. On the road of future development, XCMG will continue to effectively integrate resources, optimize the product industrial chain, innovate core technologies, and better provide customers with systematic and personalized solutions. At the press conference, Xiao Zhenlie, a senior engineer from XCMG, unveiled the "mysterious veil" of this new long-range alcohol-hydrogen new energy loader for us.

The core technical highlight of this new product lies in the fact that the entire machine is equipped with a remote alcohol-hydrogen power system. This system has achieved a significant improvement in energy conversion efficiency through the coordinated operation of alcohol-hydrogen electric vehicles and fuel cells. Compared with traditional diesel power, the combustion products of methanol fuel are only carbon dioxide and water, with particulate matter emissions reduced by over 90% and nitrogen oxide emissions decreased by 80%.

In addition, this new product adopts lithium iron phosphate power-type power batteries, which are not only safe and stable but also have long-lasting endurance, effectively solving the range anxiety problem of pure electric equipment under heavy load conditions. Before the official release of this new product, it underwent over 10,000 hours of rigorous working condition tests. The specially designed intelligent energy management system can automatically switch power modes according to the load: battery power is preferred when the load is light, and the methanol range extender system intervenes immediately when the load is heavy.

At the press conference, a responsible person from XCMG also stated that methanol, as a liquid "hydrogen carrier", has a storage and transportation cost that is only one-tenth of that of hydrogen, and it has unique advantages in the process of new energy transformation of construction machinery. XCMG's further breakthrough in technological innovation this time will promote the upgrading and replacement of the technical route in the loader industry. Jiaozuo, as a significant national coal chemical industry base, produces over 2 million tons of methanol annually, providing a sufficient fuel guarantee for the operation of equipment.

Next, XCMG will also join hands with methanol suppliers across the country to quickly build a "fuel supply guarantee - equipment leasing - after-market service" cycle system, providing customers with integrated solutions.

It is learned that after the press conference, the first batch of XCMG XG970HEV long-range alcohol-hydrogen loaders will be officially delivered to a certain mining construction enterprise, helping the user create a zero-carbon construction application scenario.
