The newly launched 9-11t model HD 98i/118i by Hummer fills the gap between Hummer's 5-ton and below small road rollers and 13-14t road rollers in the Chinese market, providing customers with more construction options.

Equipped with the HAMMTRONIC intelligent compaction control system, it can achieve the same high-pressure compaction quality as the Hummer large roller. Coupled with the lighter body weight of 9-11t, it has a natural fuel consumption advantage, which can achieve lower construction costs and bring many benefits to customers.

With the stepless vibration frequency adjustment function, this series of medium-sized road rollers can flexibly adapt to different materials and road conditions. Even on mountainous roads with numerous curves and slopes, it can be compacted as if walking on flat ground, creating a silky smooth surface layer.

Application: Rural road maintenance project

Construction highlights: Leshan, Sichuan Province, is located in the central part of Sichuan Province, with hilly terrain, numerous road bends and dense mountain roads. Therefore, a powerful and stable device is an essential need. Hummer HD 98i VT has the advantage of high maneuverability and strong climbing ability. The entire compaction process is continuous and smooth, with high flatness, beauty and uniformity of the surface layer.

This time, the 007 Township Road in Qianfo Town, Jingyan County, the city will be repaired. The total length of the project is 4.5 kilometers, and the width of the road is 6 to 7 meters. The three-point articulated structure enables the machine body to maintain high stability even when traveling on curves. Coupled with the HAMMTRONIC intelligent compaction control system, which precisely controls the compaction parameters, the HD 98i VT can compact on slopes as smoothly as walking on flat ground, easily maintaining an efficient compaction speed of 5.5-6 km/h.

The design of steel in the front and rubber at the back enables one machine of HD 98i VT to achieve the compaction effect of two devices. The penetration depth of the steel wheel can reach 10 cm, making the asphalt material more compact. It also applies the same rolling process as the rubber-tired roller to achieve a higher standard of surface smoothness, giving the road a "silk-smooth" effect.

Meanwhile, in this rural road compaction operation, a Hummer HD 35VT small roller was also equipped. Its 50mm staggered wheel design enables the HD 35VT to achieve excellent edge compaction capacity, ensuring that every corner can be precisely compacted. The combination of two Hummer rollers, one large and one small, makes the construction more efficient.

Operator feedback: This machine is very easy to operate and indeed fuel-efficient. Compared with large road rollers, the comprehensive fuel consumption has been reduced by more than 20%. For our rural road construction with strict cost control, we have more advantages in terms of construction costs.
