Compared with China's third-stage non-road emission standards (National III)

Compared with China's third-stage non-road emission standards (National III), the newly released fourth-stage emission standards (National IV) have raised the limit requirements for pollutant emissions. The limit for particulate matter emissions has been reduced by nearly 90%, and the limit for nitrogen oxide emissions has been reduced by nearly 50%.

Therefore, on the basis of China's National III emission standards, Caterpillar has further integrated and upgraded its core technology - ACERT® technology - to meet the National IV emission limit requirements: namely, a high-pressure fuel system with precise fuel injection control, an advanced air management system, a new generation of turbochargers, an upgraded electronic system, and post-treatment technology.

Mr. Zhang Yong, General Manager of Caterpillar's Oil and Gas Division in Greater China, said:

Caterpillar is committed to continuously developing and manufacturing engine products with lower emissions, and working with our customers to achieve emission reduction targets. The acquisition of the National IV emission certification for non-road vehicles in China means that Cat engines have met the latest domestic emission standards while maintaining their performance, reliability and durability. The launch of these engines further demonstrates Caterpillar's value in sustainable development.
