In 2021, despite the economic development still being affected by the epidemic, Yuchai Co., Ltd. overcame difficulties and forged ahead against the trend. In January, the cumulative engine sales orders reached 82,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 114.4%, setting a new historical record for monthly orders.

In the automotive power sector, Yuchai seized market opportunities such as the changes in vehicle model demand under the increasingly strict control of overloading and oversize restrictions on trucks, the implementation of restrictions on National III vehicles in various regions, and subsidies for trade-in. In January, its sales exceeded 30,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 70%. Among them, the sales volume of tractor engines has been rising steadily, with a year-on-year growth of 118%. The sales volume of highway buses increased by 182% year-on-year, creating a rapid upward trend.

In the general machinery power sector, Yuchai received over 25,000 orders in January, a significant year-on-year increase of 251%. Among them, the sales volume of power for construction machinery increased by 186% year-on-year, and that for agricultural equipment increased by 278% year-on-year. The market shares of each sub-segment have further increased. The market shares of wheat harvesters, corn harvesters, flower harvesters, tractors with over 80 horsepower, wheel excavators, air compressors and drilling rig power have remained the top in the industry.

In the Marine power sector, Yuchai received over 7,000 orders in January, a year-on-year increase of 70%, achieving a successful start. Yuchai's Marine and electrical power products have been deeply cultivated in market fields such as engineering ships, oil and gas fields, aquaculture, mobile communications, and data centers. The market share of its products has been continuously rising and it has remained the top in the industry.

In addition, the sales volume of Yuchai's new energy power sector also saw a significant increase in January, with both in-production orders and intended orders reaching record highs. In overseas markets, Yuchai has received bulk orders from customers in Southeast Asia, Africa, South America and other regions. The cumulative export of its engines has exceeded 3,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 52%, injecting a "strong core agent" into the engine market affected by the global pandemic cold wave.

In order to meet customers' demands in a timely and efficient manner, Yuchai overcame numerous difficulties such as the overseas epidemic cutting off China's import supply chain. It placed orders in advance, scientifically scheduled production, and implemented information-based management. It activated various resources including upstream parts supply, logistics transportation, and on-site supporting services, lived up to customers' expectations, and ensured the production and on-time delivery of engines.
