Oil circuit inspection helps you solve the problem of your excavator not starting
Check if there is enough fuel
First, check if there is any oil in the fuel tank. Under normal circumstances, diesel fans usually check the remaining fuel in the tank by observing the fuel gauge on the monitor. However, in special cases, it is recommended to check the fuel dipstick on the tank or open the tank cap to see if there is enough diesel.
Drain the oil-water separator
After confirming that there is sufficient diesel in the fuel tank for ignition, the next step is to observe the oil-water separator. Some Doufen do not have the habit of draining water from the oil-water separator every day during the operation of the equipment. At this time, if the quality of the oil used is not high, it may fail to start due to excessive moisture in the diesel.
The oil-water separator usually has a red float. The density of the float is between that of diesel and water, so it will float on the water surface and be at the bottom of the diesel. When observing the oil-water separator, if the float is in the middle, the water release bolt at the bottom of the oil-water separator should be loosened in time to drain the water.
Engine exhaust air
After ruling out the cause of excessive moisture in the diesel, if the equipment still cannot be ignited, the next step is to check whether air has mixed into the diesel. First, locate the hand oil pump. For most excavators, the hand oil pump is installed above the oil-water separator. Loosen the air release bolt beside the hand oil pump, press the hand oil pump with your hand until all the air discharged from the air release bolt is diesel. Then tighten the air release bolt and the air discharge work is completed.
The oil circuit inspection is completed through the above three steps. If the equipment still cannot be started after checking the circuit and oil circuit, it may have a mechanical failure at this point, and professional maintenance personnel need to be sought for repair.
