For a long time, mining customers have been facing multiple "pain points" in the management of mine transportation. Meanwhile, through information and digital technologies, driverless technology can reduce costs such as vehicle maintenance, high fuel consumption, and tire damage caused by non-standard operations, help avoid driver casualties, and truly achieve intrinsic safety and cost reduction and efficiency improvement in production operations.
Since 2016, the state has been continuously promoting the intelligentization process of mines. At that time, the application of autonomous driving technology on public roads attracted much attention, while unmanned driving technology in domestic mines was still in its infancy, with unclear technical routes and application scenarios. Driverless wide-body vehicles emerged in response to The Times
From August to December 2017, Tongli Heavy Industry independently modified a TLD65 wide-body vehicle and named it TLI65. This was the first wire-controlled wide-body vehicle in the industry. In December of the same year, Tongli Heavy Industry's wire-controlled wide-body dump truck completed road tracking driving. This was the first test vehicle in the industry capable of autonomous driving.
During the same period, Tage Zhixing, the first domestic technology enterprise dedicated to unmanned transportation solutions for mines, coincided with Tongli Heavy Industry's principle of "taking the demands of mine construction as the core, continuously leading with technological innovation, and developing high-efficiency and high-reliability products" and its spirit of striving for excellence in industry. This marked the official start and growth of unmanned off-road wide-body dump trucks, and the research and development and manufacturing of unmanned driving technology in the industry officially began. This vehicle integrates the advanced by-wire control system and control algorithms of that time, adapting to the characteristics of application scenarios such as unstructured roads in mining areas, large size of wide-body vehicles, and significant variations in load capacity. From testing to road use, it marked the beginning of autonomous driving of off-road wide-body dump trucks in the industry.

By 2022, Tongli Heavy Industry's unmanned driving by-wire system had been continuously upgraded from version 1.0 to 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0, achieving new technological breakthroughs in the linkage between the unmanned transportation system and the coal crushing system, as well as in replacing traditional manned vehicles to realize regular, large-scale, and unmanned production operations. In the mining area, a stable capacity replacement for raw coal transportation has been formed, achieving fully unmanned group operation in multiple closed scenarios throughout the entire process.
