Recently, the new series of Cararo Agricube Pro tractors for vineyards and orchards, equipped with Fiat Powertrain Technologies' 55kW and 75kW Stage V F28 diesel engines respectively, were launched in Rovigo. This is the first application of this model of engine in the agricultural machinery field. The brand has also launched this model of engine in the construction machinery and power generation fields before.

Since 2010, the cooperation between the two companies has achieved multiple successes. Fiat Powertrain Technologies has produced over 25,000 engines for Cararo, which have been adopted on at least 13 tractor platforms. Now, with the emission regulations upgraded to Stage V, the entire Agricube series adopts the F28 solution. The power outputs of the vineyard and orchard-specific models 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 are 72, 92 and 102 horsepower respectively, which further consolidates the cooperation between the two sides.

This F28 engine can offer performance equivalent to that of a 3.4-liter engine in a 2-liter form factor. It provides 102 horsepower at 2300 rpm and 415 Nm of torque at 1500rpm. These unique advantages in compactness and high power density, coupled with impressive fuel efficiency, make it the best choice for Cararo's new dedicated tractor, which is used for interrow operations between high-value grapevines or trees and is equipped with accessories that require intensive hydraulic power.

F28 engine

Stage V F28 is a complete and universal solution with an optimized generator set in an extremely compact structure, making it an ideal choice for applications that require high-performance operation in a narrow space, such as small special-purpose tractors and multi-functional tractors.

The entire exhaust gas after-treatment system (DOC, SCR, DPF) is installed in a single module under the cylinder head to further reduce the size and ensure that the driver has a good field of vision.

Single-sided maintainability and a 600-hour oil change interval cycle mean easy maintenance and lower operating costs.

The F28 is designed with multiple power sources and can operate on diesel, as well as natural gas and hybrid applications, ensuring optimal performance under any circumstances.
