Concrete Pump Chapter

 Precautions in Severe Winter Weather:

1.The antifreeze for the equipment engine should be replaced in a timely manner to prevent the radiator from cracking due to freezing. Antifreeze 

should be replaced in a timely manner after two years of use or 60,000 kilometers (the freezing point of the antifreeze selected should generally be more 

than 10℃ lower than the local minimum temperature).

2. Add -10 # diesel to prevent wax precipitation at low temperatures and failure to start.

3. The remaining water in the chassis air tank should be drained in a timely and effective manner, and the filter element of the drying tank should be 

replaced to prevent water droplets from entering the braking system and freezing, which may cause braking failure. If there is water in the path of qi, 

there will be endless troubles in the future.

4. Replace the gear oil in the transfer case/reducer. When the gear oil is exposed to high temperatures, it will deposit a large amount of water, which 

not only deteriorates and affects lubrication but also prevents the reducer from cracking due to freezing.

5. A fully discharged battery may freeze and damage it at low temperatures. If you need to charge a frozen battery, it must be thawed (placed in a warm 

place) before charging.

6.If a vehicle is idle for more than one week, the negative terminal of the battery should be disconnected. If the battery is idle for more than one month

 it should be removed and stored upright in a dry environment at 0-30℃. Before reinstalling it in the vehicle for use, it must be charged.

7. If a vehicle is parked for a long time, it should be started once a month. Turn on the air conditioning switch at idle speed. Before turning on the air 

conditioning, let the engine idle for at least 10 minutes to prevent damage to the air conditioning compressor.

8. Special windshield washer fluid should be added to the wiper water bottle.

9.When using the water pump in extremely cold weather, please replace it with qualified engine oil. The oil filling volume should be 850-900ml. 

It is a normal phenomenon that a large oil filling volume may cause a slight leakage from the oil plug vent hole.

Work Preparations in Severe Winter Weather:

1.Before driving: Preheat the engine for 10 minutes. Wait until the water temperature and oil pressure are normal before driving. If any abnormality is found,

 repair it immediately.

2. Before construction: Clear the ice cubes from the sink. For the pre-heat pump system, wait until the oil temperature is above 20℃ before construction to 

protect the pump and hydraulic components.

3. After construction: Clean the pipes in time to remove the remaining materials. Once the concrete inside the pipes freezes, they cannot be washed. Drain 

all the water from the water tank, the water tank of the outriggers and the water pump to prevent freezing. (When draining water, turn on the water pump, 

water gun and the rubber blockage of the water tank, and pump empty for 3 minutes.)

 Maintenance of Water Tanks and Pumps in Winter

1.Drain the accumulated water in the water tank

Rotate the handle of the water tank drain switch to be parallel to the water outlet to drain the accumulated water in the water tank

(2) After draining the accumulated water, turn off the drain switch to prevent debris from entering the water tank

2. Drain the accumulated water inside the water pump and the water pipes

Rotate the switch handle of the three-way ball valve of the water pump to a position that forms a 45° Angle with the open state to drain the accumulated 

water in the water pipe and at the bottom of the pump body

(2) After draining the water from the bottom of the pump body and the water pipes, rotate the three-way ball valve switch of the water pump to the open 

position. Then start the vehicle and the water pump, and let the water pump run idle for 3 minutes to completely drain the water inside the pump body.

(3) Drain the accumulated water inside the water pump and the water pipes
