National Low-Carbon Day: Yuchai Xinlan's New Algorithm for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction

Yuchai Xinlan is a core subsidiary of Yuchai in the new energy power sector, dedicated to providing customers with a complete set of new energy power system solutions. In recent years, in response to the pain points such as range anxiety during the use of new energy power, Yuchai Xinlan has developed an integrated generator engine powertrain system, ECVT power split powertrain, integrated electric drive axle, and fuel cell system, which are customized according to the specific application scenarios of users. This has greatly saved energy consumption and reduced pollution emissions.

The integrated generator engine powertrain system (range extender /P1) is a highly integrated power system of the internal combustion engine and the motor, achieving the most efficient operation of the internal combustion engine and the motor. The entire system has the highest power generation efficiency and the best fuel consumption and emissions, and is suitable for commercial power in complex working conditions.

At Guangzhou Port, traditional tractors equipped with Yuchai Xinlan F30 and 4D range extenders can save customers nearly 3,100 tons of fuel and nearly 9,500 tons of carbon emissions each year, generating an economic benefit of approximately 45 million yuan.

The ECVT power-split hybrid powertrain adopts a new type of dual planetary row multi-mode drive hybrid power technology, which is suitable for multiple uses such as road vehicles, special vehicles, and engineering vehicles. It has a wide range of adaptability and high efficiency. Among them, the fuel-saving rate in urban conditions exceeds 50%, and in road conditions it reaches 30%, reaching the world-class level.

Recently, Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile released the all-new generation of quasi-heavy-duty platform H5V. Among them, the products equipped with the ECVT power-split hybrid powertrain can achieve a fuel-saving rate of over 25% under complex road conditions, significantly saving energy resources.

The integrated electric drive axle is a highly integrated electric drive assembly developed for pure electric drive vehicles. It effectively shortens the power transmission chain, shedding 100kg of weight and reducing the overall vehicle weight. In addition, the battery loading capacity is enhanced, meeting the demand for high-range battery capacity.

The currently developed 4.5-ton to 8-ton heavy-duty integrated electric drive axles have been tested and matched with mainstream truck and bus enterprises.

The efficiency of Yuchai's fuel cell system products exceeds 60%, leading the industry average by 10%. Achieve low-temperature cold start at -30℃ without assistance; The specific power is as high as 460 W/kg, ranking among the top in the industry. There are currently two types of fuel cell system products, 40kW and 90kW, which are suitable for trucks ranging from 4 to 18 tons and buses ranging from 8 to 12 meters. They have been applied in the field of public buses.

At present, the Yuchai Xinlan YCFC90-A10 fuel cell system, which has been installed on 10.5-meter city buses, has completed the announcement certification and obtained the market entry ticket for fuel cell systems. It is expected to be mass-produced and launched in the market within this year.
