Yuchai Marine Engine successfully delivered and inspected the world's first dual-fuel main engine equipped with iCER-Diesel mode
Representatives from the shipowner, shipyard, DNV, CCS, BV classification Society, WinGD and other units were present at the scene for this inspection. Yuchai Marine Engine, relying on its rich experience in manufacturing dual-fuel low-speed Marine engines, made meticulous preparations and the inspection process went very smoothly, receiving unanimous recognition from all representatives.
This main engine is classified by DNV classification Society. Its designed maximum output power is 22,698 horsepower. It is equipped with the latest generation of WinGD intelligent control exhaust gas recirculation (iCER) system. Whether operating in diesel mode or gas mode, it can meet the requirements of the current most stringent NOx emission regulations of the International Maritime Organization, Tier III. This main engine will be installed on the 7,000-vehicle capacity car carrier built by Wuhu Shipyard for Chery Holding Group.
After the project order took effect, Yuchai Marine Machinery promptly organized a special meeting to communicate and explain aspects such as project order information, technical preparations, and production arrangements. A project working group was established, a detailed project work plan was formulated, and various tasks were carried out in an orderly manner. The world's first 7X62DF-2.1 dual-fuel main engine equipped with iCER-Diesel mode has been delivered with high quality.
