Yuchai was awarded the "Xinhua Credit Golden Orchid Cup" as an outstanding case of ESG responsibility

It is understood that the ESG responsibility concept assesses the sustainability of a company's operation and its impact on Social values from three dimensions: environment (Environmental), society (Social), and Governance (Governance). In recent years, the influence of the ESG concept has been continuously expanding globally, and corporate ESG has drawn much social attention. China Economic Information Service, with the core goal of disseminating the ESG development concept and exploring and promoting enterprises' innovative ESG practices, has established the "Xinhua Credit Jinlan Cup" ESG Outstanding Case Selection. This selection is supported by 11 units including the Certification and Accreditation Technology Research Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Carbon Neutrality Professional Committee of the China Energy Conservation Association, showcasing the ESG practical experiences and effective practices of domestic enterprises that are based on their national conditions and in line with international standards.

All along, Yuchai has been actively fulfilling its responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise and proactively integrating into the overall development of The Times. Since 2008, it has released 16 sustainable development reports. In recent years, Yuchai has carried out a green industry strategic layout, clearly defined the group's concentric diversified development with the power system as the center, and the "1235" strategic positioning of Yuchai Co., LTD., to build a full value chain industrial ecosystem. The latest evaluation of the National Enterprise Technology Center ranks first in the country, and the National Engineering Research Center for High-Efficiency, Energy-saving and Environmentally Friendly Internal Combustion Engines is the only one in the industry. It leads the industry in terms of the number of authorizations and the number of national and industry standards formulated and revised under its leadership. It has launched a series of pioneering new products, including China's first National VI diesel engine, the world's first hybrid electric drive continuously variable transmission powertrain, and China's first hydrogen-fueled engine for commercial vehicles, promoting the transformation of the internal combustion engine industry towards "low-carbon" and "zero-carbon" goals. At the same time, actively engage in public welfare undertakings, covering areas such as rural revitalization, environmental protection, and social charity, to promote the green, sustainable and healthy development of enterprises and industries.
