During the exhibition, the fifth European Zero-Emission Bus Conference was held as scheduled. At the 2020 Beijing Road Transport Exhibition, in response to the operating conditions and vehicle model requirements of urban public transport vehicles, Panhu Power launched the "Subway Bus" public transport solution. The four-airbag independent suspension wheel-side drive technology, centered on the application of axial flux motors, places the drive motors beside the tires, thereby significantly freeing up the chassis and interior space. This has enabled buses to achieve revolutionary functional improvements such as "fully flat floors, ultra-wide aisles, and super flexible transportation capacity". An 8-meter "subway bus" can now reach the carrying capacity of a 10-meter regular bus, and the passenger capacity of a 10-meter "subway bus" is comparable to that of a 12-meter regular bus, perfectly aligning with the vehicle application trend of "small replacing large" in the public transportation market.

Since its launch, the "Metro Bus" has been put into batch operation in over 40 cities across the country, including Shanghai, Chongqing, Suzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Yichang, Yantai and Jinhua. It has been promoted and applied in more than 4,000 sets and is hailed as a star product of "public transportation services for the elderly", with its application and promotion scope constantly expanding.

At this year's BUSWORLD exhibition, Panhu Power officially released the new generation of "metro bus" public transportation solution. Without increasing the volume of the system assembly, it has upgraded the single motor power from 120KW to 160KW, and raised the total system power from 240KW to 320KW. While fully inheriting the advantages and features of the previous generation of products, It has stronger power and can cover a wider range of application conditions.

Meanwhile, the PDS320KW "Metro Bus" public transportation system solution adopts an overall structure of "axial flux motor + planetary gear reduction", which has a higher degree of integration, occupies less space, and can freely choose to be equipped with dual-tire wheels or "super single-tire" according to the actual working conditions. Moreover, it can achieve the "drive + steering" function of the rear wheels Further enhance the operational flexibility of vehicles; Thanks to the structural advantages of the axial flux motor itself, this system realizes two-stage gear transmission, resulting in less kinetic energy loss and effectively enhancing the overall operational efficiency.

In addition, the PDS320KW "Metro Bus" public transportation system solution adopts more innovative materials and processes. The total weight of the system assembly is reduced by more than 10% compared to the previous generation. This will also effectively reduce power consumption, increase the vehicle's driving range, and create greater revenue value.

Innovation-driven in all scenarios, leading the global trend of new energy travel

At this year's BUSWORLD exhibition, Panhu Power also showcased a range of innovative drive products covering all scenarios of transportation, including integrated heavy-duty truck electric drive axles, PDS300DM distributed drive assemblies, PDS10K wheel-side side-mounted drive motors, and PDS100K hub electric drive solutions, demonstrating the "drive innovation power" of "Made in China".

Among them, the PDS100K hub electric drive solution, which uses an axial flux motor as the main drive, reduces the volume and weight of a single motor by about 50% compared to a common radial motor. It can be very easily arranged in a 19-inch hub, not only significantly reducing the unsprung mass but also reserving more space for the arrangement of the braking system and steering system. In terms of actual parameter performance, the peak power of the PDS100K hub electric drive solution reaches 100kW, and the total system weight is only 34Kg (excluding hub bearings and brakes). Meanwhile, the maximum output torque at the wheel end reaches 3870N·m, which can fully meet the various working conditions requirements of the adapted vehicle models.

The PDS300DM adopts the hub ICD150K axial flux motor as the main drive motor. The motor weighs 24Kg, with a peak power of up to 150kW and an axial dimension of only 132.4mm. Through highly integrated design, the total weight of the system assembly does not exceed 100Kg, with a peak power of up to 300kW and a peak torque at the wheel end of nearly 5000N·m. The motor adopts oil cooling for heat dissipation, and its performance under peak operating conditions will also be more stable and reliable.

In light of the actual application conditions of new energy heavy-duty trucks, Panhu also highlighted the integrated heavy-duty truck electric drive axle at this exhibition, attracting a large number of professional visitors to stop and appreciate. The super power combination of "axial flux motor + three-speed transmission" features fewer transmission stages, higher efficiency, stronger power and longer range.
