1. If there is soil on the surface of the excavator, we must clean it thoroughly and check for any loose fasteners.

2. Check if the antifreeze level and engine oil level are normal, check if the engine oil quality is normal, and check the antifreeze level of the fuel.

3. If the weather is extremely cold and the excavator is out of service for a long time, please drain the coolant from the engine completely. At the same time, to prevent the battery from running out of power, it must be removed and stored in a warm place.

4. Start the engine and run it once at regular intervals. If the antifreeze level and engine oil level are lower than the normal level, please add them to the normal level in time before starting. When the weather is cold, place the key in the preheating position until the preheating light comes on (repeat the preheating multiple times), then start the engine and let it idle for 5 to 10 minutes. After that, operate each cylinder 5 to 10 times without load, each time 5 to 10 mm less than the maximum stroke. Finally, make the engine run at the maximum speed and quickly operate each cylinder 5 to 10 times. At the same time, operate the left and right rotation and the front and back movement 3 times each. The system can only be operated normally when the temperature rises to 50-80 degrees. Continue to operate all working devices for 5-10 minutes and then stop the engine.

5. The diesel should be replaced with -10 to -30 grades, which depends on the region. The further north the area is, the more -grade diesel should be added. Additionally, the diesel filter should be replaced. The engine oil should be replaced with the thickened oil suitable for the local area, and the oil filter should also be replaced. Any oil leakage in the hydraulic system should be replaced in a timely manner. If possible, the fuel tank should be well insulated.

6. The heat dissipation system should be carefully inspected for any aging or breakage of the rubber hoses. If any problems are found, they should be replaced in a timely manner as these areas are more prone to issues in winter. If hot water is available, it is best to heat the water in the radiator every day. This can help start the engine better, but be sure to remember not to forget to drain the water. The reason why antifreeze is not recommended is that it makes it more difficult to start the engine in extremely cold regions.
