Guo Yunjie, in his work and life, is an easy-going, tolerant person who enjoys delving into technology and collecting all kinds of interesting information. After having a child, Guo Yunjie also likes to share his knowledge with him. I also take my child to participate in some science popularization and nature exploration activities in my spare time, so I have a bit of a foundation. I want to do my bit to help the children.

Create in fragmented time and let knowledge bear fruit

Last September, Sany Public Welfare, in collaboration with "Youth", launched a recruitment for authors of the youth science popularization publication "The Structure of Machinery". When the opportunity came, Guo Yunjie seized it quickly. I have always been interested in popular science. Just then, I got this opportunity. The topic I was working on was related to my job, so I signed up immediately.

But how could good things ever come true so easily? The writing process was not as easy as Guo Yunjie had imagined.

The biggest problem I encountered during the writing process was that my writing style was completely incompatible with the style of popular science for teenagers. After I submitted my first draft, the magazine editor gave feedback that major revisions were needed. It was at that time that I realized my writing style was not suitable for popular science among teenagers. Through round after round of communication with the editor, I gradually learned and changed my writing style, and made major adjustments to the content. It took me about five rounds of repeated revisions to complete the final draft.

Guo Yunjie made use of the time after work in the evening and on weekends to write. During the nearly half-year-long writing process, he also constantly gained new insights.

I have consulted a large amount of materials and gained a deeper understanding of the development history and future trends of construction machinery. This is just right for me to apply what I have learned to my work and the education of the next generation. On the other hand, this experience did indeed enhance my ability in popular science writing and even involved graphic and textual drawing, expanding the possibilities of another side of myself. At the same time, I also made some friends who are enthusiastic about public welfare. It can be regarded as a very rich life experience.

From behind the scenes to the front stage, learning never stops and beauty never stops

After the content was published, Guo Yunjie faced a new challenge. He received an invitation from "Teenage Years" to do a live online sharing session for young readers.
