After starting the diesel engine, it should idle for 2 to 3 minutes, and then gradually increase to medium speed for "warm-up". When the temperature of the coolant reaches above 60°C, check whether the indicator lights such as oil pressure and water temperature on the dashboard are normal. When there is no abnormal noise from the diesel engine and it is operating normally, gradually increase the load for operation.

In the initial period after the diesel engine is ignited, it is strictly forbidden to increase the throttle and run at high speed, otherwise it is very likely to cause accidents such as cylinder pulling, shaft burning and bearing seizure. Generally, during cold starts, a wisp of white smoke will come out of the exhaust pipe. As the temperature of the diesel engine rises, the white smoke should gradually disappear. When starting the engine in cold weather, place the key switch in the "On" position and preheat for about 15 seconds. This will make it easier to start the engine. The preheating action of the Yanmar engine is automatically completed after about 15 seconds.

Warning

Do not start the engine in enclosed rooms such as warehouses and garages.

Please start the engine in a well-ventilated outdoor area.

When it is necessary to start indoors, ensure adequate ventilation.

If not followed, the exhaust gas discharged may cause poisoning safety accidents.

Warm up the machine carefully

After the engine starts, apply the brake pedal and lock it.

② Set the automatic throttle switch to the "Off" position and the manual throttle knob to the "medium and Low speed" position. The engine operates at medium and low speeds.

Keep the engine running for about 5 minutes before performing any operation.

"Take the exam

Please warm up the engine when it is cold.

The idle speed of the engine will be slightly higher when it is cold.

If the warm-up operation is not carried out, not only will satisfactory performance not be achieved, but it will also cause machine failure.

One of the application standards for diesel engines is that when the temperature is not lower than 5℃, the engine can be started smoothly without preheating measures. In reality, the temperature often drops below 5℃ in many cases, which requires certain preheating measures to start the engine.

Under cold conditions, diesel with a low freezing point and good fluidity should be selected. The principle for selecting diesel is that its freezing point should be about 5°C lower than the ambient temperature. For instance, when the temperature is -5°C, -10 # diesel must be selected. The diesel grades available for selection in winter in our country include -10, -20, -35, etc. Once the diesel in the fuel system solidifies, it is absolutely forbidden to heat it with an open flame. Instead, hot water or steam should be used to heat it to prevent fire accidents.

Control the start-up time. When starting at low temperatures, the starter should generally not continuously drive the diesel engine to rotate for more than 10 seconds. When ignition fails for three consecutive times, it should be paused for 2 to 3 minutes before restarting. If ignition still fails after 2 to 3 attempts, it is necessary to check whether there is air or blockage in the oil circuit, as well as whether the battery voltage and air filter are clogged. If the battery is constantly started, it will be over-discharged, which will cause the plates to age.
