The pulley is precisely cast from highly wear-resistant materials and has undergone dynamic balance adjustment. The belt tensioning system ensures that the belt has an appropriate tension for reliable power transmission while suppressing vibrations generated under load.

The bearing shaft is made of high-strength steel and its surface is galvanized to prevent corrosion. The bearing base is reinforced and installed to ensure the precise positioning of the bearing and a longer service life. The multi-faceted V-belt assembly (including the three split belts in the figure) efficiently transmits power to the milling drum.

Common Faults and Maintenance methods

1. The belt drive pulley is damaged

Check if there is any damage on the outside

Check whether there is any damage on the side of the belt groove

If there is significant damage, please replace the pulley.

2. The belt drive wheel is worn

Check whether the side of the belt groove is worn and measure the wear condition of each side of the belt groove of the pulley

Hint

If the wear on the side of the belt groove exceeds 1 millimeter, please replace the pulley. If the maximum width on the inner side of the belt groove exceeds 17.1 millimeters, please replace the pulley.

3. The drive belt is damaged

Check whether the drive belt is worn (torn, perforated, with many pits on the surface)

Hint

Replace the entire set of drive belts.

Check whether the drive belt is embedded with stones

Hint

When removing the embedded stones, be careful not to damage the base material of the drive belt. If the base material of the drive belt is damaged, such as perforations, pits, etc., the entire drive belt assembly needs to be replaced.

4. The belt tensioning device is damaged

Ensure the sealing performance of the tensioning cylinder and the hydraulic pipes

If poor sealing of the hydraulic pipe is found, try tightening the joint bolts or replacing the hydraulic pipe. If the tensioning cylinder leaks, the cylinder sealing sleeve needs to be replaced.

Maintenance of tensioning arms

Hint

If the installation clearance of the tensioning arm is too large, it will shake during operation. Appropriate tools, such as suitable crowbars, should be used to check the axial and radial clearances of the bearing shaft and the tensioning arm. If obvious gaps can be seen, the shaft frame needs to be inspected and the worn parts replaced.

Maintenance operations of conveyor belts and pulleys:

1. Regular maintenance

Check whether the cover of the drive belt compartment is securely locked and intact

Check if the pulley shows any signs of damage or wear

The cleanliness of the drive belt, pulley and belt box should be inspected regularly. A mixture of glycerin and alcohol mixed in a ratio of 1:10 can be used to clean the contaminated drive belt. Do not use cleaning agents containing gasoline, benzene, turpentine or other substances

Belt wax cannot be used

The equipment storage warehouse should maintain an appropriate humidity and cleanliness. No chemical substances such as solvents, fuel oil and lubricants should be stored nearby. An overly dry environment may reduce the service life of the drive belt

Avoiding strong light can increase the service life of the belt
