In the National VI emission standards, the Weichai WP2.3Q engine has undergone a comprehensive evolution. Facing this industry pain point, Weichai WP2.3Q was the first to introduce efficient SCR technology into small-displacement engines. This also makes the engine more adaptable to oil products, comprehensively reduces the failure rate of engine after-treatment, and solves the worries of truck drivers when using the vehicle.

At the exhibition, another WP2.5N engine from Weichai Power is a powerful engine specifically designed for urban distribution and intercity mixed working conditions.

Weichai WP2.5N series engines

To comply with national regulations and policy restrictions, although the displacement of Weichai's WP2.5N engine is only 2.5 liters, its power performance is comparable to that of a 3-liter engine. The engine's horsepower range covers 150 to 160 horsepower, with a maximum torque of up to 450N·m, easily handling complex road conditions such as highways, national roads, and urban areas.

In addition, the Weichai WP2.5N engine fully takes into account the daily transportation costs of light truck users and has also made adjustments and upgrades in terms of economy. It adopts measures such as efficient turbocharging, re-optimization of the air system and combustion system. By using high-opening thermostats, reduced-ratio gear trains and other methods, truck drivers can save 1-2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers during their daily trips. If a truck driver travels 70,000 kilometers a year, they can save about 5,000 yuan on fuel costs alone in a year.
