With a balance between quality and service, Taikaiying tires have once again received high praise from underground mining customers in Africa
All along, underground mines have been one of the greatest tests for the quality and service of tires. At the end of April, with the phased completion of the on-site service for a certain underground mine by the on-site service engineers of Taikaiying, Taikaiying once again perfectly accomplished the major test of underground mine tires for a certain client in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
As early as 2017, this mine began conducting product tests on Taikaiying underground mine tires. Up to now, it has been going on for several rounds. Taikaiying 35/65R33 ETSM, ETDL5 and ETNT tires have all been highly favored by customers. During this period, Taikaiying's scenario-based product customization capabilities and excellent product performance have left a deep impression on them.
In 2021, to better serve local mining customers, Taikaiying initiated the preparations for the Gangzan office, thus embarking on the path of localization in the Central African region. Therefore, when the aforementioned customer put forward the demand for product services, the service engineers of Taikaiying visited the site twice and provided continuous on-site services, with a total duration of 156 hours.
During the two periods of on-site service at the mine, the service engineers conducted two technical trainings for a total of 20 fleet managers and maintenance personnel successively. We helped the client identify 8 issues related to on-site tire usage, maintenance and upkeep, and improved 4 of them on-site. The remaining issues will be gradually resolved in the future.
The Taikaiying team provided professional and systematic methods and tools for tracking tire usage data, organized on-site personnel knowledge training, and directly solved problems on the spot. They also discovered some important issues that we had previously overlooked. The person in charge of the mine's fleet said that the on-site service provided by Taikaiying has further enhanced his trust in Taikaiying.
Under the combined effect of excellent product quality and professional services, customers' capabilities in tire pressure management and other aspects have been significantly enhanced, and the tire failure rate has decreased significantly. Taking the three types of tires tested this time as examples, on the scraper, the average service life of all wheel positions of ETSM reached 80% of the performance of international first-line tires. On the rear wheels of underground trucks, the average lifespan of ETNT reaches 100% of that of international first-line performance.
Ultimately, Taikaiying, which centers on customer value, has extended the service life of customers' tires and reduced downtime costs through high-quality products and services. While ensuring operational efficiency, it has also enabled customers to gain greater value in the use of tires.
