Corrosion damage to parts

To prevent the corrosion of parts, corrosion-resistant materials such as nickel, chromium and zinc are often plated on the surface of metal parts, or oil is applied to the surface of metal parts, and anti-corrosion paint is applied to the surface of non-metal parts, etc., to prevent the parts from coming into direct contact with harmful media. The potential difference on the surface of the parts can also be reduced by improving the surface finish of the parts.

2. Fatigue damage of parts

Manifestation: Fracture, surface peeling

Treatment method: During the manufacturing process, enhance the surface finish of the parts and adopt a relatively gentle cross-sectional filtration to reduce stress concentration on the parts. In addition, by using methods such as carburizing and quenching to enhance the hardness, toughness and wear resistance of parts, good results can also be achieved.

3. Frictional damage to parts

To reduce the amount of abrasive wear, wear-resistant materials should be used as much as possible on the working parts of agricultural machinery. When designing the shape of the working parts of agricultural machinery, the frictional resistance should also be minimized as much as possible. For instance, soil processing components are made with high manganese content and rare earth alloys, and wear-resistant materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene are coated on the plow wall. Changing the sliding friction between the roller plow handle and the soil to rolling friction, etc., relatively reduces the amount of abrasive wear.
