The "Black Diamond" gas engine of Yuchai has become a hit with a year-on-year growth of over 60% thanks to its strong performance

During the stage of meeting the National V emission standards, heavy-duty gas engines such as Yuchai YC6KN and YC6MKN were recognized by users for their powerful performance, high efficiency, and low gas consumption. Their sales have been increasing year by year and they remain a topic of great interest among truck drivers in the northwest region.

During the National VI stage, Yuchai heavy-duty trucks' gas-powered engines range from 260 to 570 horsepower and are widely used in port tractors, medium and short-distance combined transportation, medium and long-distance combined transportation, and trunk logistics scenarios. With advantages such as high reliability and low gas consumption, they have received unanimous praise from truck drivers. Yuchai's high-horsepower gas power adopts the world's leading gas system, with continuous flow gas injection components that meet the National VII emission standards, and can be maintenance-free for life. Equipped with the brand-new generation of Yuchai ignition system, its lifespan exceeds 100,000 kilometers. Targeted design, it can easily cope with the high heat load characteristics of gas engines, and the product reliability is improved by 95%.

To verify the high reliability of the products, Yuchai's National VI gas power products undergo high-altitude calibration on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau at an altitude of over 5,000 meters, high-cold calibration in Mohe at -45℃, and high-temperature calibration in Xinjiang at 60℃, ensuring the reliability of Yuchai engines.

Compared with traditional fuel vehicles, heavy-duty trucks equipped with Yuchai gas power have obvious advantages in energy conservation and cost reduction. In 2022, an authoritative assessment conducted by China Automotive Research Institute in Xinjiang for a month showed that the gas consumption of Yuchai's National VI gas engines was overall 7% better than the industry average, and its acceleration performance was 11% better than the industry average.

Take the Shaanxi Automobile Commercial Vehicle Wing 3 LNG tractor equipped with a Yuchai 480-horsepower gas engine as an example. This gas engine has a maximum torque of 2200N.m, and is paired with a 12-speed transmission and a small ratio rear axle, significantly enhancing the overall power performance. It is worth mentioning that while both power and efficiency have been enhanced, the overall gas consumption of the engine can be reduced by approximately 2.6% compared to the 460-horsepower engine under the combined working conditions, achieving a gas saving of 3.24 kilograms per 100 kilometers and saving 20,000 yuan in costs annually.

Master Zhao from Yulin, Shaanxi Province, drove a Wing 3 LNG tractor with a rated load of 49 tons of daily necessities between Urumqi and Yulin. The total road conditions (plains and mountains) of the entire journey were 6,854 kilometers. The final measured gas consumption was 29.69 kilograms per 100 kilometers.

Since March, the price of gas in our country has been on a continuous decline, triggering a sales boom of gas vehicles. Since March, new models of vehicles equipped with Yuchai heavy-duty gas power have been successively launched across the country, and on-site orders have been booming.

On April 26th, the new ultra-light version of the Changle H5 equipped with a Yuchai 480-horsepower gas engine was launched in Shanxi Province, bringing a brand-new value experience to resource transportation truck drivers and securing a large order of 700 units on the spot.

On June 11th, a batch of Yuchai YCK13N 500-horsepower gas engines combined with the C9 series of trucks were delivered to users in Ningxia. C9 is the first main product launched by United Heavy Truck after its reorganization and is known as the king of trips.

Starting from July 28th, the Shaanxi Automobile Commercial Vehicle Wing 3 LNG tractor equipped with a Yuchai 480-horsepower gas engine has been launched in various regions across the country, including Henan, Hebei, Shanxi, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, and Liaoning. It has received unanimous praise from truck drivers since its debut. Dealers have signed sales contracts for over 1,800 units, and users have placed orders for nearly 400 units on the spot.

On August 6th, Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile and Yuchai jointly held the launch event of the Chonglong H5 ultra-light version tractor equipped with Yuchai's 500-horsepower gas engine in Handan, Hebei Province. More than 30 vehicles were ordered on the spot
