The maintenance and upkeep of seed drying equipment should start from six aspect

The maintenance and upkeep of seed drying equipment should start from six aspects: daily cleaning, regular inspection, lubrication and maintenance, electrical system maintenance, safe operation and long-term storage management. The specific key points are as follows:

I. Daily cleaning and Maintenance

Clean the surface of the equipment

After each use, wipe the surface of the equipment with a soft cotton cloth to remove dust and residues and keep the appearance clean.

Clean the cotton fluff and debris inside the dust collection box or filter screen to ensure good ventilation and avoid blockage which may affect the drying effect.

Internal cleaning

Regularly open the rear cover or maintenance door of the equipment, and clean the interior with a soft cotton cloth, especially the heat exchange chamber, air ducts and other parts, to prevent dust accumulation from affecting thermal efficiency.

Clean up seed residues to prevent them from mixing or corroding the interior of the equipment.

2. Regular inspection and tightening

Component tightness inspection

Check whether all connection parts of the equipment (such as screws, pipe joints, and electrical circuits) are loose or fallen off, especially those components with significant vibration (such as fans and drive shafts).

Regularly check the tension of transmission components (such as belts and chains), and adjust them to an appropriate state to avoid wear or breakage.

Inspection of vulnerable parts

Check the wear conditions of vulnerable parts such as bearings, gears and seals, and replace the damaged parts in time.

Check whether the heating system components such as the heater and hot air ducts are damaged or leaking to ensure safe operation.

Iii. Lubrication and Maintenance

Add oil to the lubrication parts

According to the frequency of equipment usage and the requirements of the manual, regularly add lubricating oil or grease to the lubrication parts such as bearings, gears, and transmission shafts to reduce friction and wear.

For example: Check the lubrication of the bearings every month and replace the oil in the reducer every quarter.

Maintenance of the air source three-piece set

Before starting the machine every day, check the air source three-piece set (oil mist lubricator, filter, and pressure regulating valve) to ensure sufficient oil level. Add lubricating oil in time and drain the remaining water to prevent damage to pneumatic components.

Iv. Electrical System Maintenance

Inspection of circuits and joints

Regularly check whether electrical components such as wires, plugs and switches are damaged, aged or leaking electricity to ensure good insulation.

Check whether the control system (such as sensors and controllers) is working properly to avoid signal interference or misoperation.

Grounding and safety devices

Make sure the equipment is well grounded to prevent the risk of electric shock.

Regularly check whether safety devices such as safety valves and explosion-proof valves are reliable and effective to avoid overpressure or explosion risks.

V. Safety Operation Specifications

Check before operation

Before starting, make sure that all parts of the equipment are normal, without any looseness or abnormal sounds, and ensure that the circuits are correctly connected.

Check whether the seeds are evenly spread to avoid uneven drying or equipment overload due to accumulation.

In-operation monitoring

Pay close attention to the operating status of the equipment (such as temperature, pressure, and noise). Stop the machine immediately for inspection if any abnormality is found.

Avoid long-term no-load or overloaded operation to prevent equipment damage or energy waste.

Post-shutdown processing

After the machine stops, turn off the power and gas supply, clean up the residues inside the equipment, and get ready for the next use.

Vi. Long-term Storage Management

Cleaning and rust prevention

Before long-term disuse, clean the interior and exterior of the equipment and apply anti-rust oil or grease to protect the metal parts.

Remove the drive belt to prevent long-term stretching and deformation.

Storage environment requirements

Store in a dry, well-ventilated environment free of corrosive gases, avoiding direct sunlight or rain.

Start the equipment regularly (such as once a month) to prevent components from rusting or lubricating oil from solidifying.
