Maintenance
Eight common misunderstandings in loader maintenance
The engine oil is only added and not changed
When changing the engine oil of a loader, due to the large amount of mechanical impurities remaining in the used oil, even if it is completely drained, there are still impurities in the oil pan and oil passage. It needs to be cleaned up as thoroughly as possible!
2. Butter is used and spread randomly
Many maintenance personnel like to apply a layer of grease such as butter on the cylinder gasket of the loader when installing it. The cylinder gasket not only needs to strictly seal the high-temperature and high-pressure gas generated in the cylinder, but also needs to seal the cooling water and engine oil with certain pressure and flow rate in the cylinder head and cylinder block. The application of grease on the cylinder gasket is mainly due to the sealing and squeezing. Some of the grease will enter the cylinder and burn at high temperatures, while the other part will form carbon deposits for a long time, affecting the sealing performance of the cylinder!
Heat the piston directly with fire
When the piston is directly heated by an open flame, the thickness of each part of the piston is uneven, and the degree of thermal expansion and contraction is different, which is prone to deformation. If it reaches a certain high temperature and cools naturally, the metal structure will be damaged, reducing its wear resistance and greatly shortening its service life.
The four bolts are tightened too much
If the bolts on the loader are tightened too much, it may cause the screws and bolts to break or the threads to slip, which can easily lead to major malfunctions or accidents.
The tire pressure is too high
Both excessively high and low tire pressure of wheel loaders can affect their service life and are also detrimental to safe driving.
The measurement of cylinder clearance is inaccurate
When measuring, it is stipulated that the gap in the direction of the major axis of the ellipse should be taken as the standard, that is, the skirt of the piston should be measured to be perpendicular to the pin hole of the piston
The gap in direction. This way of measurement is more convenient and accurate.
When the water tank boils, suddenly add cold water
When adding cooling water to the water tank of a loader, be careful not to add cold water suddenly. Otherwise, due to the excessive temperature difference, the cylinder head and cylinder block may "crack". Therefore, once the radiator "boils over" is found during use, emergency measures should be taken to ensure that the engine cooling water cools down by itself.
8. Sand the bearing bush with sandpaper
Many maintenance workers use sandpaper to grind the bearing shells in order to increase the contact surface between the bearing shells and the shaft. However, as the sand grains are harder than the alloy of the bearing shells, the sand grains on the sandpaper are prone to fall off and embed into the alloy during grinding. This accelerates the wear of the bearing shells when the engine is running and shortens the service life of the crankshaft.
