Maintenance
Ten key points to note in the Later maintenance of cone crushers
Precautions for the operation of the cone crusher:
(1) The ore must be placed in the middle of the distribution plate. It is strictly prohibited to directly feed the ore into the crushing chamber. This is because doing so can easily cause the crusher to overload and lead to uneven wear of the liner.
The correct ore feeding conditions are:
Ore a is evenly dispersed in the crushing chamber through the distribution plate.
The ore fed in by b must not exceed the level of the mortar wall
(2) The maximum feeding size of the crusher must not be equal to the feeding port size. (The maximum feeding block size should be ≤85% of the feeding port size.) Otherwise, it will lead to:
The reduction in the output of crusher a.
The damage of some other parts of the b crusher.
(3) The crusher must not be started under load. Starting under load will definitely cause an accident.
(4) When stopping, the feeder must be stopped first. After the ore that has entered the crushing chamber is crushed and discharged, the crusher can be stopped.
(5) When the crusher is in operation, the pressure of the locking system and the working condition of the hydraulic station should be frequently checked. Any problems found should be dealt with promptly.
2. The output of the crusher
The output of a crusher is related to the feeding method, the size of the feed blocks, the size of the discharged ore blocks, the physical and mechanical properties of the ore, temperature, etc., and has a wide range of variations. The output given by the manufacturer is the approximate throughput under specified conditions.
3. Replacement of the mortar wall
There are U-shaped screws on the adjusting ring of the mortar wall. Zinc alloy is injected between the two to ensure a tight bond. When newly installing or replacing the mortar wall, after 6 to 8 hours of operation, the tightness should be checked and the U-shaped screws should be tightened again.
4. Replacement of the conical crushing wall
The cone crushing wall is fixed on the cone body with a cone head, and zinc alloy is cast between them. After the newly installed or newly replaced cone crushing wall has been working for 6 to 8 hours, its tightness should be checked. If any looseness is found, it should be tightened immediately.
5. Gear meshing
Due to the wear of the circular plate caused by friction, the change of gear clearance is affected. To ensure the normal meshing of gears, gaskets must be added to the bottom cover. The thickness of the gasket should be equal to the wear of the circular plate.
6. Bowl bearings and sealing devices
When installing bowl-shaped bearings, be careful not to damage the oil retaining ring with the steel wire rope (hard wood or other objects can be used to support it between the steel wire ropes).
During assembly, the supporting spherical surface should be scraped to ensure that the inner ring of the contact between the crushing cone and the bowl-shaped spherical surface on the outer circle has a annular gap of 0.35-0.5mm.
The bowl-shaped bearing bush is fixed to the bowl-shaped bearing housing with lock nails filled with babed alloy around it to prevent the bowl-shaped bearing bush from rotating along the circumference.
The bowl-shaped bearing housing and the frame are fixed with keys (pins). If any gap is found between the bowl-shaped bearing housing and the frame during operation, it must be dealt with immediately.
7. The cylindrical bushing and the frame are the third type of transition fit. To prevent the rotation of the bushing, zinc alloy is injected into the upper groove of the bushing. When replacing the new bushing, it should be configured according to the actual size of the frame, because the fit relationship of the crusher will inevitably change after long-term operation and loading and unloading. If the gap is too large, it will cause the bushing to crack.
8. Conical bushing
The cone sleeve and the empty eccentric shaft should be ground together, and zinc alloy should be injected to prevent the cone sleeve from rotating. The zinc alloy should fill all the gaps. Due to the hot injection of zinc alloy, the cone sleeve may deform. Therefore, for new cone sleeves, check the dimensions d1, d2 and B, etc. If they are incorrect, they should be corrected in time. When manufacturing spare parts, they should be configured according to the actual inner diameter of the eccentric sleeve to maintain the original fit.
9. Spring
The function of the spring is to protect the crusher from damage when it enters an unbreakable object. Therefore, the pressure of the spring is adapted to the crushing force of the crusher. During normal operation of the crusher, the spring remains still. Only when an iron block falls into the crushing chamber and the crusher is overloaded will the support sleeve be lifted, causing the spring to be compressed.
(2) If the upper part of the crusher jumps during normal operation, this is an abnormal phenomenon that must be carefully analyzed. The cause and measures should be taken to eliminate it. If the spring is compressed incorrectly, it will not only fail to work normally but may also cause damage to the parts, as compressing the spring will increase the crushing force.
There are several reasons for the upper part of the crusher to jump:
A: Uneven or excessive ore feeding
The ore fed to B contains too many small pieces and powdered ores or has excessive moisture.
The gap at the C ore discharge port is too small.
10. The exposed rotating parts of the machine should be covered with protective covers, but such covers shall be provided by the user themselves.
