Equipment inaccuracy → Decline in production efficiency? The Easy-Laser® XT770 laser alignment technology enables enterprises to achieve efficient production
With the continuous advancement of industrial technology and the intensification of market competition, precise centering technology is becoming increasingly important for the stable and efficient operation of rotating machinery in the industrial field. As an expert in laser measurement system manufacturers and suppliers, Easy-Laser® has launched the XT770 laser alignment device, which can help identify and solve potential problems in industrial facilities and prevent mechanical inaccuracy during operation. On the contrary, misaligned machinery not only affects the reliability of the equipment but may also trigger a series of chain reactions, increasing maintenance costs and downtime, and having an adverse impact on the overall benefits of industrial production.
From the combination of the pump and the motor base, to the linkage of the turbine and the compressor, and then to the coordination of the engine and
the generator, the slightest inaccuracy between the equipment may become a hidden operational hazard. The following are the five major serious consequen
ces and symptoms that may be brought about by the inaccuracy of rotating machinery.
1. Vibration occurs in rotating machinery
In the operation of rotating machinery, vibration is one of the most intuitive symptoms of poor alignment. When the centerline of the axis fails to be
precisely aligned, an unbalanced force will be generated during operation, which in turn will cause the entire system to vibrate. This kind of vibration not
only seriously interferes with the normal operation of the machine, but also significantly accelerates the wear of components. Take centrifugal pumps as an
example. If there is a centering deviation between the motor shaft and the pump shaft, vibration will follow, causing the bearings and seals to fail
prematurely, posing a serious threat to the stable operation of the equipment.
2. The noise level rises
When there is a misalignment problem with rotating equipment, another obvious manifestation is a significant increase in noise levels. Noise is generated by
the mutual friction of various components of the equipment due to misalignment. This friction not only creates additional resistance, affecting the normal
operation of the equipment, but also produces abnormal sounds due to the collision and vibration between components.
The volume and pitch of the noise will vary depending on the severity of the misalignment and the operating speed of the equipment. A slight misalignment
may only cause a low humming sound, but as the degree of misalignment deepens or the operating speed of the equipment increases, the noise may
become sharp, harsh, and even produce a loud clanging sound.
Take the turbine compressor system as an example. When there is a misalignment between the turbine shaft and the compressor shaft, the system will emit
a distinct screech or grinding sound. This kind of noise not only indicates that there may be serious alignment problems with the equipment, but also may
signal that the equipment is about to malfunction or be damaged. Therefore, once such abnormal noise is heard in rotating equipment, the machine should
be stopped immediately for inspection to prevent further damage and the occurrence of safety accidents.
