The occurrence of hammer wear

The rammer is a crucial component in the compaction system. The wear of other components in the compaction system is closely related to the wear of the rammer. If the rammer is severely worn, then the bottom plate of the ironing plate and other components such as the pressure beam will also wear out quickly. Therefore, it is necessary to check the wear condition of the rammer in a timely manner.

If an increase in wear is found in the middle of the rammer, the main reason is that the rammer is twisted. The shape of the rammer should be checked to see if it is straight. If necessary, it should be replaced in time.

If the telescopic section of the AB telescopic ironing plate is not adjusted to the correct height, it will increase the wear of the hammers of the unfully extended telescopic section behind the basic section of the ironing plate.

If the "hot-to-cold" paving construction is carried out frequently, the outer edge of the rammer will suffer from extremely severe wear. The above situation occurred because the road surface that had already been paved at the very front of the rammer was re-compacted, and the compaction length exceeded 3 to 4 cm.

Maintenance of hammers

The ironing hammer needs regular maintenance, such as daily cleaning, lubrication every 50 hours, and regular inspection of the hammer's wear. In addition to daily cleaning and maintenance, it is also necessary to make correct adjustments to the stroke of the rammer, the height of the rammer shaft, the rammer guard plate, etc. Check the wear of the rammer and confirm whether there are any unplanned maintenance tasks.
