Maintenance
Here's a winter maintenance benefit for excavators!
1. Before starting the machine in winter, preheat it first. After idling, slowly extend each boom first, and then start working.
Attention
1. Run the engine at medium speed, operate the bucket and preheat it.
2. Then, increase the engine speed to the maximum to make the bucket and boom work continuously for 5 minutes.
3. Lift the machine and rotate the tracks to preheat the left and right walking motors respectively.
Second, the diesel should be replaced with -10 to -30 grades, which depends on the region. The further north the area, the more -grade diesel should be added. Additionally, the diesel filter should be replaced, and the engine oil should be replaced with the thickened oil suitable for the local area. The oil filter should also be replaced. If there is any oil leakage in the hydraulic system, it should be replaced in a timely manner. If conditions permit, the fuel tank should be well insulated.
Third, the heat dissipation system should be carefully inspected for any aging or breakage of the rubber hoses. If any problems are found, they should be replaced in a timely manner as these areas are more prone to issues in winter.
Fourth, if hot water is available, it is best to heat the water tank every day. This can help start the engine better, but be sure not to forget to drain the water. The reason why antifreeze is not recommended is that it makes it more difficult to start the engine in extremely cold regions.
V. When excavators are stored for a long time in winter, the following points should be noted:
Attention
1. The battery must be removed and placed in a warm area to prevent power depletion.
2. Drain the antifreeze from the engine completely.
3. Start the engine and run it once a month.
4. Run the air conditioning system once a month.
Winter Maintenance Tips for Loaders
1. Choose high-quality antifreeze. Generally, antifreeze should be changed once a year. Antifreeze of different models must not be mixed.
Second, inspection of the water pump: Some equipment may have antifreeze in the engine oil after the antifreeze is replaced. This is due to the aging and failure of the water seal of the water pump, causing the antifreeze to enter the lubrication chamber through the water seal and eventually reach the oil pan. Therefore, after changing the antifreeze, the oil level should be closely monitored. If the oil level is found to be rising, the machine should be stopped for inspection. Generally, the method of replacing the water seal of the water pump or the water pump assembly is adopted.
Iii. Maintenance of Fuel Lines.
Attention
When choosing fuel normally, it is necessary to select diesel based on the local temperature and the cold filter point and freezing point of diesel.
2. Maintain the fuel line well and thoroughly clean the oil-water separator: keep the exterior clean, check the sewage discharge sign, and promptly discharge impurities. Replace those that cannot be cleaned thoroughly. Clean the diesel tank: Remove the sediment at the bottom of it thoroughly.
Fourth, inspect and maintain electrical equipment. In winter, aging equipment often experiences difficulties in starting. Therefore, during the previous seasonal maintenance, checking and replacing aged electrical circuits and components is an indispensable measure to reduce starting difficulties. It is also necessary to thoroughly inspect and maintain the battery.
V. Selection of lubricating oil should be based on the local temperature, combined with the freezing point, pour point and viscosity of the lubricating oil to choose the appropriate lubricating oil.
