Allison will introduce the new eGen Power series of electric axles for engineeri

Allison will introduce the new eGen Power series of electric axles for engineering trucks and showcase the new TerraTran™ fully automatic transmission suitable for the most demanding off-road applications.

Allison Transmission Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of traditional and electric vehicle propulsion solutions for medium and heavy commercial vehicles, will introduce its new electric axle, Allison eGen Power, for construction applications such as dump trucks, concrete mixers and heavy tractors. At Bauma 2022 (October 24th to 30th, Munich, Germany, Hall A3, Booth 414).

Allison eGen Power is an embedded solution compatible with many existing truck chassis, which can help Oems accelerate their vehicle development plans. It features a fully integrated electric motor, a two-speed gearbox, an integrated oil cooler and pump, enabling optimal efficiency and performance, and is compatible with battery electric vehicles (BEVs), fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), and hybrid applications.

The dual-motor eGen Power 130D weighs 13 tons and is specially designed for the European and Asia-Pacific markets. It features a continuous output power of 454 kilowatts and a peak output power of 652 kilowatts, making it one of the most powerful electric axle solution markets in the world. It is specifically designed for excellent starting and climbing abilities, high speed and impressive efficiency. This enables heavy-duty trucks to offer outstanding performance and reliability, rapid acceleration and excellent maneuverability

Allison also offers the eGen Power 100D, a 10-ton variant of the 130D, as well as the single-motor eGen Power 100S, rated at 10.4 tons, with continuous peak outputs of 227 kilowatts and 326 kilowatts, making it highly suitable for a variety of medium and heavy-duty applications.

The TerraTran™ fully automatic transmission is suitable for the most demanding off-road applications

The TerraTran™ transmission is a tried-and-true version of the Allison 4000 Series™ road transmission, capable of meeting the extreme demands of the global construction and mining markets. TerraTran offers a maximum power of up to 800 horsepower and a torque capacity of up to 3,200 Newton-meters. This transmission also features seven forward gears and two reverse gears. TerraTran offers the proven reliability and durability of the Allison 4000 series transmission, but with higher horsepower, torque and gross vehicle weight (GVW) capacity, while also adding rapid reverse gear capability. For instance, Bell Equipment is testing the use of Allison TerraTran gearboxes in its next-generation articulated dump trucks.

Allison offers unparalleled reliability for the most demanding applications such as dump trucks, dump trucks and concrete mixers, and its products are designated by Oems such as Rokbak, Bell Equipment and Volvo Construction Equipment. Participants at Bauma 2022 will have the opportunity to see a variety of vehicles equipped with Allison on display. These trucks include the Bell B30E "Narrow" equipped with Allison 3400 xFE™ Off Road Series™ (ORS) and the Bell B45E equipped with Allison 4700 ORS.

Visitors to the Allison booth at Bauma 2022 were invited to explore eGen Power e-Axles and Allison fully automatic transmissions through an interactive augmented reality experience. They will be able to have a 360-degree view of the exterior and some internal components of each product. Allison technical experts will provide information on the full range of products and technologies offered by the company and discuss the transition to electrification.
