Sinopec Siji Petroleum Machinery's vehicle-mounted drilling and repair equipment is equipped with Allison 4500 oilfield series gearboxes
Sinopec Siji Petroleum Machinery Co., LTD., a leading manufacturer of petroleum equipment in China, plans to launch a new type of vehicle-mounted drilling and repair equipment equipped with Allison 4500 oilfield series gearboxes to meet the urgent demands of the petroleum equipment industry. As a leading designer and manufacturer of fully automatic transmissions in the energy sector, Allison Transmission Company offers unparalleled high performance, reliability and durability to the end users of oil fields.
During the process of oil and gas extraction, the production process of digging underground oil and gas often involves various complex chemical and mechanical processes. During the self-injection, oil extraction or water and gas injection of oil and gas Wells, faults may occur at any time, resulting in reduced or even halted oil and gas production. At this time, well servicing machines need to be involved in maintenance.
The latest workover rig of Siji Petroleum Machinery Co., LTD. (with a total vehicle mass of 46 tons) is equipped with a vehicle-mounted chassis, a diesel engine MC11.40-60 from Sinotruk with an output power of 297 horsepower, and a lightweight Allison 4500 OFS transmission, with a maximum output torque of up to 2,237 Nm. It is also equipped with a hydraulic lifting derrick, winch and drilling rig.
Allison 4500 OFS fully automatic transmission
The latest workover rig of Siji Petroleum Machinery Co., LTD. (with a total vehicle mass of 46 tons) is equipped with a vehicle-mounted chassis, a diesel engine MC11.40-60 from Sinotruk with an output power of 297 kilowatts, and a lightweight Allison 4500 OFS transmission. The engine's maximum output torque reaches 1900Nm. It is also equipped with a hydraulic lifting derrick, winch and drilling rig.
The Allison 4500 transmission is applied to our company's vehicle-mounted drilling and repair equipment, with two working conditions: road driving and minor oilfield repair operations. "Minor repair operations require the transmission to have a high level of continuous working reliability," said Zhang Bin, deputy director of the Drilling and Repair Product Research Institute of the Technology Center of Sinopec Fourth Machinery Co., LTD. Allison has a series of oilfield gearboxes suitable for various working conditions. The Allison 4500 OFS can match the maximum engine torque of up to 2,237 N.m, and it is compact in size and light in weight, which well meets these requirements.
Allison's fully automatic transmission is specially designed for the most demanding working conditions in oil fields. Because it adopts Continuous Power Technology™, the hydraulic torque converter can not only achieve torque increase but also smoothly and continuously output the engine power, coping with various operating conditions. Allison transmissions accelerate faster, with an average speed 14% higher than that of manual or AMT transmissions. The vehicle has better handling, traction and maneuverability when traveling on loose soil or in narrow Spaces. The Allison 4500 OFS transmission adopts dual-mode operation and can be used for various operations. The user only needs to simply turn on the switch to switch the transmission from driving the vehicle (road mode) to the second function (working mode). Whether driving to the work site or working on-site, Allison transmissions can enhance productivity. The high quality, reliability and durability of Allison gearboxes can meet users' operational requirements under the harshest working conditions.
Deputy Director Zhang continued, "The Allison 4500 OFS transmission has a large rated input power, a reasonable transmission ratio distribution, excellent hydraulic transmission performance, high transmission efficiency, high reliability, prompt and efficient after-sales service, and a high cost performance. It is highly recognized by users." Another significant advantage is that this minor overhaul well workover is the latest product applying the 4500 OFS gearbox. Compared with similar products, the overall cost has been significantly reduced without sacrificing performance parameters and reliability."
As the Allison transmission does not require clutch replacement, the operating cost is further reduced, and the maintenance cost is lowered through the Allison pre-diagnosis function. The service life of engine oil and filter elements can be predicted, thereby reducing downtime and lowering maintenance costs. Regularly change the engine oil and filter elements to extend the vehicle's operating time and enhance its operational reliability.
Meanwhile, Allison has a vast global network composed of distributors and authorized agents, which not only provides spare parts but also offers customers comprehensive service support, technical support and training. Many Allison authorized distributors and agents are responsible for providing emergency services and have dedicated parts warehouses for local customers.
