In addition, for zero-carbon ammonia fuel engines, Yuchai has developed multi-fuel co-firing injection systems based on its years of engine development experience. These systems not only make up for the shortcomings of ammonia such as slow combustion speed and high ignition energy requirements, but also leverage the environmental protection advantages of ammonia fuel with zero carbon emissions, thus having broad market prospects.

The technologies of methanol single-fuel and methanol-diesel dual-fuel engines can be implemented relatively quickly

Methanol remains liquid at normal temperature, is safe to use and easy to transport. Meanwhile, green methanol is a carbon-neutral fuel and is currently the most advantageous green fuel. Methanol fuel, with its unique advantages, is regarded as one of the new alternative fuels that best suit China's current energy and resource conditions.

A large amount of basic research, experimental verification and operational data have proved that methanol, as an automotive fuel, has good safety, economy and environmental friendliness.

Recently, relevant methanol vehicle displacement applications have been made in our country. Compared with diesel vehicles, the fuel cost of this batch of methanol heavy-duty trucks can be reduced by 18%. Based on an annual driving distance of 150,000 kilometers, it can save 45,000 yuan in fuel costs each year. With its product advantages, the development of methanol heavy-duty trucks may usher in a new spring. In Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and other places, methanol has a significant cost advantage. It can be foreseen that methanol mining trucks will be widely promoted in these areas.

According to relevant technical personnel, based on the existing technical reserves, Yuchai can quickly realize the technical implementation of the M100 methanol fuel for vehicles and the methanol-diesel dual-fuel engine.
