Maintenance is better than repair. Five major items for winter maintenance of construction machinery
First, switch to high-quality antifreeze.
In the extremely cold weather, machines are also afraid of the "cold". The quality of antifreeze must be carefully selected. Especially in Northeast China, it is necessary to choose one with a freezing point of around -60℃ to prevent the machine from being damaged by the cold. High-quality antifreeze can also effectively prevent rust and corrosion and will not damage the cooling system of the equipment. However, never mix antifreeze. Different antifreeze contains different chemical agents. Mixing them may cause a chemical reaction, resulting in sediment or bubbles.
Second, inspect and repair electrical equipment.
In winter, aging equipment often experiences difficulties in starting. It is recommended to frequently inspect the aging electrical circuits and components, including thoroughly checking and maintaining the battery. If necessary, replace the aging equipment in a timely manner.
Thirdly, check and drain the gas storage tank every day.
When the gas cylinder is in operation, it will condense a certain amount of water vapor. If the water is not drained for several days, it is very likely to freeze, blocking the ventilation pipe, affecting the braking system and causing safety hazards.
Fourth, check for water, liquid or gas leakage in the equipment.
When the temperature remains persistently below 0℃, due to the thermal expansion and contraction of the sealing parts in the hydraulic system, air lines and water lines, especially rubber O-rings, rectangular rings and other sealing parts, the machine will experience oil leakage, air leakage and water leakage, especially when the temperature remains close to -10℃ for a long time. Before the equipment enters winter, a comprehensive inspection of the entire machine's three leakage conditions should be carried out to eliminate the three leakage faults and potential hazards.
The fifth point is to pay attention to the maintenance of the fuel and fuel circuit systems.
In winter, diesel should be correctly selected based on the local temperature and the cold filter point and freezing point of the diesel. If the lowest temperature is above -10℃, -10 # diesel can be chosen. In cold regions, -35# light diesel is used as fuel. In addition, if the machine is not started for a long time during holidays, it is best to drain the fuel and clean the fuel tank to prevent impurities in the fuel from settling due to long-term standing.
