Pay attention to the 17 unremarkable holes of cranes!
(1) Overflow hole and drain hole of the water pump. An overflow hole is provided at the pump shaft of the water pump. This hole serves two purposes: one is to observe whether the water pump is leaking, and the other is that the leaked water from the water pump can be discharged from the pump body through this hole. If blocked, the leaking water can be discharged from this hole into the pump body bearing, affecting lubrication and causing premature damage to the bearing and the pump shaft. The drain hole is used to discharge the water remaining in the casing when the drainage pump stops working. If it is blocked, it will cause the cooling water in the pump body to not be drained completely, damaging the pump or the water seal.
(2) The oil drain hole on the pump body of the diesel engine's fuel transfer pump is designed to allow a small amount of diesel oil that leaks from the fuel transfer pump to directly flow out of the pump body. After blockage, a small amount of diesel that leaks cannot be discharged from the pump body but enters the oil pan of the fuel injection pump through the piston of the fuel transfer pump to dilute the lubricating oil, causing the lubricating oil to deteriorate and resulting in poor lubrication of the components and damage.
(3) A 2mm conical starting nozzle on the diesel engine cylinder head. Blockage will cause difficulty in starting the diesel engine.
(4) Oil return and overflow holes of diesel engine fuel injectors. Once clogged, the excess diesel cannot return to the fuel tank, the pressure in the return passage increases, the pressure of the fuel injector rises, the fuel injection time changes, and it is very easy for the fuel to burn and get stuck.
(5) Fuel injection pump breather. Once blocked, it is easy for the lubricating oil to deteriorate, resulting in poor lubrication.
(6) The vent hole of the diesel fuel tank cap is used to prevent the formation of a vacuum when the fuel level drops, which may affect normal fuel supply. Once clogged, it will cause the diesel engine to be difficult to start or its power to drop.
(7) The vent hole of the crankcase oil filler cap is used to discharge the exhaust gas that enters the crankcase from the cylinder. If it is blocked, it will cause oil leakage and oxidation deterioration.
(8) Diesel engine lubricating oil holes are used to lubricate the rocker arm, rocker arm shaft and valve push rod. If they are blocked, it will accelerate the wear of the components. If the oil nozzle holes for lubricating the timing gears are clogged, it will lead to poor lubrication of the gears, accelerate wear, cause impact and result in misalignment. The two oil nozzles on the rotor body of the centrifugal oil fine filter, if clogged, will cause the rotor to fail to rotate normally or its rotation speed to slow down, resulting in the filter losing its function, causing the oil to deteriorate prematurely and accelerating the wear of the components.
(9) The dust discharge hole of the air filter is used to remove dust particles. If it is clogged, the dust will be carried by the airflow into the next stage of the filtration device, or even enter the cylinder, accelerating the wear of the machine parts and resulting in a reduction in power.
(10) The numerous oil return holes in the oil ring grooves of diesel engine piston rings allow the excess engine oil scraped off the cylinder wall to flow back to the crankcase. Once blocked, a large amount of engine oil will enter the combustion chamber for combustion, forming carbon deposits and causing malfunctions.
(11) The oil cooler, water radiator and the water drain holes of the engine block are used to drain the cooling water from various places. If they are blocked, the cooling water will not be drained completely. In winter, the oil cooler, water radiator and the engine block (the most common one is the oil cooler cracking) may freeze, causing significant economic losses.
(12) Vent hole of the auxiliary water radiator cover of the diesel engine. After clogging, the pressure difference between the main and auxiliary water radiators cannot be established, resulting in the coolant in the auxiliary water radiator being unable to flow back to the main radiator, causing the coolant level in the radiator to be too low and affecting the heat dissipation effect.
(13) Battery filling plug hole. It is used for venting to prevent battery explosion accidents caused by excessive gas accumulation and pressure increase.
(14) Small holes in the hydraulic oil tank, transmission, torque converter, hydraulic pump transmission box, etc. are used to ensure that the internal pressure of the box is in communication with the atmosphere, balance the internal pressure, discharge high-temperature gas, prevent rapid temperature rise and premature deterioration of the oil inside the box.
(15) The vent holes on the main reducer housing are used to prevent the oil temperature and gas pressure inside the reducer housing from being too high and to prevent the sealing parts from being damaged prematurely.
(16) The vent holes on the brake master cylinder cover, the master cylinder oil return hole (balance hole), and the compensation hole can ensure the replenishment and backflow of brake fluid, allowing for complete brake release and preventing it from entering the pipeline. It is necessary to frequently use a thinner steel wire to clear the blockage to ensure it is clean and unobstructed. Once clogged, it can lead to faults such as brake "seizing" and master cylinder oil leakage.
(17) The small holes under the main clutch and steering clutch housing are used to promptly drain the oil stains that leak into the clutch from various places. If they get clogged, excessive oil stains will enter.
