Fiat Powertrain Technologies led the way in new road application technologies with its National VI engines at the 2019 China International Import Expo
The 2019 China International Import Expo was held in Shanghai from November 5th to 10th. It is one of the most important exhibitions in China aimed at promoting trade and business opportunities in various industries around the world. Fiat Powertrain Technologies will showcase two of its road application engines at this exhibition.
The products displayed by Fiat Powertrain Technologies at its sister brand Iveco's booth (booth No. 2.1H, A3-003) at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) comply with the latest National VI emission regulations for heavy-duty vehicles and have significant advantages in terms of power, efficiency and reliability.
The F1 series engines of Fiat Powertrain Technologies are the best-selling engine series in the European light commercial vehicle market, providing a maximum power of 155 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 470 Newton-meters, while also featuring high reliability and excellent durability. Its National VI engine series offers two displacements: 2.0 liters and 3.0 liters. The latter offers a maximum power of 132 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 430 Newton-meters. The newly launched Daily 4x4 in China by Iveco is equipped with the F1C 3.0-liter engine of the F1 series (National VI emission standard).
The F1C diesel engine (National VI) is suitable for light commercial vehicles with high power demands. Based on a high-pressure common rail injection system, the engine can provide the highest performance and ensure low fuel consumption. The after-treatment system combines cooling EGR and SCR to offer high reliability, low fuel consumption, and ensure high vehicle availability.
The Cursor 13 natural gas engine (National VI/Euro VI) is Fiat Powertrain Technologies' most powerful natural gas engine, offering a maximum power of 338 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 2,000 Newton-meters. It is an ideal choice for long-distance trucks and buses. This 12.9-liter engine features a straight-six cylinder structure, nickel-based cast iron exhaust manifold, and water-cooled exhaust bypass valve. And vermicular graphite cast iron cylinder heads.
In terms of the after-treatment system, this engine uses a simple and easy-to-install three-way catalyst, without EGR, SCR, or DPF. In other words, it is a post-treatment solution that does not require regeneration. Fiat Powertrain Technologies' natural gas engines can reduce pollutant emissions by 95%. Compared with diesel engines of the same power, the Cursor13 natural gas engine reduces PM emissions by 98% and NOX emissions by 48%.
