Fiat Powertrain Technologies has launched a brand-new R38 compact engine

Fiat Powertrain Technologies is a brand under the Iveco Group, specializing in the design, production and sale of powertrains and solutions for on-road and off-road vehicles, ships and generator sets. The launch of the all-new R38 engine has made its extensive product lineup more comprehensive. The new R38 made its grand debut at the latest International Agricultural and Horticultural Machinery Exhibition EIMA 2024, which will be held in Bologna from November 6th to 10th, 2024.

Fiat Powertrain Technologies has become a leader in power generation applications and industrial power units with its full range of products from 2.4 liters to 16 liters. All of its products comply with various global emission regulations and provide the best performance for a wide range of applications.

The brand-new R38 - offers outstanding performance with a fully packaged and economical solution

The R38 is the latest 3.8-liter turbocharged engine launched by Fiat Powertrain Technologies, aiming to provide an economical and efficient solution for emission-free applications. This model fully complies with EU emission regulations and forms a closed loop for Fiat Powertrain Technologies' ecosystem. The R38 power output provides 50kVA and 60kVA when used in generator sets. In the industrial power unit series versions, the power output reaches 55kW and 65kW, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications.

Like the previous new product R24 in Fiat Powertrain's technological innovation product portfolio, this is also a compact four-cylinder G-Drive engine equipped with cooling components and filters. The all-new R38 adopts a robust, durable, mature and reliable mechanical injection system. The single-side maintenance makes maintenance and repair convenient and fast. For the generator set version, R38 supports dual-frequency 1500rpm / 1800rpm to minimize the inventory requirements of the original equipment manufacturer, and is suitable for a wide range of applications from fixed backup power to mobile main power.
