Fiat Powertrain Technologies has injected strong power into Case's construction machinery product line with the F28 CEV engine

At the Case Construction Machinery booth at the Bharat Construction Machinery Exhibition (January 19th - 22nd, Grand Noida India Expo Center, India), the new F28 engine was launched, whose design complies with the latest CEV STAGE V emission regulations in the Indian market.

To meet the requirements of CEV Stage V emission regulations, this brand has a series of innovative technologies. Among them, the highly compact after-treatment solution is the key. It is equipped with an efficient diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and diesel particulate filter (DPF), providing the best performance while meeting the most stringent emission regulations.

The design of F28 enables it to easily handle the harshest working conditions, which is reflected in its durability and intelligence. This multi-functional engine offers an integrated engine solution that ingeniously balances space optimization and outstanding performance, meeting the evolving demands of compact construction machinery and industrial application equipment.

The F28 is equipped with a 2.8-liter four-cylinder power sport version. At a rotational speed of 1400rpm, its peak torque can reach 370Nm, ensuring that the equipment is always provided with the necessary power. Thanks to advanced technical features such as the ingenious integration of EGR tubing in the cylinder block, the adoption of a reduced cylinder spacing solution, and the most compact after-treatment system among similar products, the F28 engine offers outstanding performance equivalent to that of a 3.4-liter engine with a 2.8-liter profile, making it easy to install on vehicles. To align with Fiat Powertrain Technologies' commitment to sustainable development, this engine has optimized combustion to enhance efficiency.

F28 is suitable for construction machinery and agricultural machinery. Its universal design enables it to be applied in a wide range of uses, making it an ideal choice for equipment in the rental industry, such as backhoe loaders, vibratory compilers, aerial work platforms, telescopic forklifts, pumping stations, welders, chippers and trenchers.

The first batch of F28 applications for Case construction machinery equipment displayed on the exhibition stand include three models of backhoe loaders - 770NX, 770NX Magnum and 851NX Plus CP, as well as the 952NX vibratory compactor.
