Maintenance
The maintenance of loaders during the rainy season is very important
Precautions for the operation and parking of loaders during the rainy season in Xili
When working in rainy weather, it is essential to pay attention to the condition of the road surface, especially in areas with thick soil. After the heavy rain, the soil was soaked wet and extremely slippery. When working in these places, one must pay attention to the surrounding environment and always keep a close eye on it. When pushing and shoveling materials, you can use a small throttle to work steadily and not rush. Due to the slippery road surface, if the loader bucket is inserted into the material and operated improperly or not quickly, it is very likely to cause the wheels of the loader to slip. Sometimes, the harder it is to shovel in, the more you step on the accelerator, the more severe the wheel slippage becomes. Not only is it not fully cleared, but it also causes damage to the machine. If necessary, it's better to shift into reverse gear one more time and do it one more time. There are also tires. It's fine if the loader is working on a concrete ground, but it's a different story if it's on a dirt road. In some places, the upper part of the road is all muddy, but there may be many sharp stones buried beneath. If the tires skid for a long time and rub against the stones, it is very easy to scratch the tires, which will greatly reduce the wear and tear of the tires!
Prevent tire wear
It is necessary to install anti-skid chains on the loader to increase the safety factor. The installation of anti-skid chains should be carried out in advance. Do not start the installation only when encountering extremely harsh environments. Such hasty installation is not only unsafe but also rather troublesome. In special circumstances, safety warning signs must be placed at the front and back of the loader during installation. Do not install anti-skid chains when the tire pressure is insufficient. Secondly, it is also important to pay attention to the different sizes of anti-skid chains. Choose anti-skid chains that match the size of the wheel hub and wheel width. After installing the anti-skid chain, it is important to note that the traveling speed of the loader should not be too fast, and also to avoid sudden acceleration or deceleration that may cause damage to the anti-skid chain.
During the rainy season, it is also common to encounter situations where the rear eight wheels of the construction site get stuck. In such cases, a loader will definitely be called for rescue. I've seen some people, upon receiving a call, start their vehicles and go out without even looking for steel ropes or anything like that. Once they arrive, they directly flip the bucket and use the back of the bucket to push against the rear of the truck. If the vehicle isn't stuck seriously, it's fine. But when all the wheels are stuck, they feel powerless. For a vehicle weighing dozens of tons, if you can't push it out the first time, it will suddenly come back and you can't come back immediately. If dozens of tons of force are all pushed back onto your bucket at once, it is very likely to cause the bucket to deform and arch its back. So I myself am very resistant to such rescue methods. Unless it is a special situation, it is best to try to deal with the soil beside the truck tires or have the truck unload some materials and use steel ropes to support the rescue.
Precautions for loaders during the rainy season
When clearing soil and eliminating dangers in narrow or gully areas during the rainy season, it is essential to have the cooperation of an excavator. Because excavators are much better than loaders in pathfinding in areas with deep water or unclear road conditions. The loader must not be driven straight up rashly to avoid danger. There should also be relevant hazard elimination personnel on the side to observe and direct to ensure personal safety. After the excavator finds a safe and suitable position, let the excavator dig the soil to the appropriate position first, and then the loader will remove it. Or the excavator can directly pour the load into the loader's bucket for transportation. When encountering a stuck road surface, one should concentrate on driving and move forward at a constant speed with a small throttle. Do not suddenly accelerate or brake. Emergency braking on slippery roads can easily cause the loader to lose control of its direction, making the entire vehicle drift and very dangerous. Also, do not raise the boom too high to avoid unstable center of gravity. When encountering excessive tilting or deviation of the wheels, immediately remove the soil, retract and repair the road surface before starting work.
When using a loader as a tractor during the rainy season, it is essential to ensure the safety of the loader. Only by guaranteeing one's own safety can one rescue others. Especially when carrying a vehicle on a downhill slope, it is essential to carefully check the road conditions. If there is too much mud, it is best to clear the soil first. If possible, it is advisable to shovel some sand and stones and spread them on the road. This can significantly reduce the risk of the vehicle skidding. Only carry out the rescue under the condition of ensuring safety. Do not act rashly. It is necessary to avoid having the loader too close to the edge of cliffs or ditches. If the ground in these areas is soft, it is very likely that the loader will fall or tip over due to its own weight and vibration.
The parking of loaders during the rainy season is also particularly important. If possible, it is best to park them in a garage and try to avoid parking them in overly humid environments. Choose to store them indoors instead. Rust prevention is very important. If the machine is to be parked for a long time, it should be started and driven once a month to charge the battery. After the machine has been stored for a long time, the grease on the piston rod should be wiped dry and grease should be added to all components. When parking the machine, it is necessary to keep the working device dry and clean, and prevent water from entering to avoid rusting and making the operation of the machine inconvenient.
Keep the chassis clean
After the rainy season operation, the chassis of the loader must be thoroughly cleaned, and necessary maintenance and oiling should be carried out to prevent rust. Check if all the oil drain screws are loose. If so, maintenance should be carried out in time. Where water is found on the machine, it should be removed in time to prevent rust from affecting the machine's performance. When parked outdoors, it is necessary to check whether the fuel tank and hydraulic tank covers are tightly closed to prevent rainwater from seeping into the tanks and causing unnecessary trouble.
On rainy days, it is also necessary to pay attention to checking the filter element of the air filter of the loader to prevent rainwater from entering. When the paper filter element deteriorates, gets damaged and gets clogged, it should be replaced and maintained in time. In addition, pay attention to the wear of the sealing ring on the engine oil dipstick to prevent rainwater from seeping into the oil. Also, check the oil filling port. When parked outdoors, if necessary, cover it with a plastic bag to ensure everything is in order. Check the usage condition of each wire end of the starter to see if there is any looseness or rust. Deal with any problems in time to avoid the starter getting damp and affecting its service life. Check the usage of the generator and prevent the joints of each line from getting damp, which may affect the power generation effect.
It's best to park the engine part towards the garage during the rainy season. Some careless drivers think that just parking the car in the garage is enough, but they don't notice that the engine part is right under the eaves. As soon as the rain starts pouring down on the engine, that scene... I've seen it with my own eyes, so don't be too careless when parking.
One of the most common problems during the rainy season is that the mud stuck in the bucket still cannot be shaken off. When loading and unloading materials with the bucket, the limit block of the working device should be fully utilized, and the bucket should be ensured to have the maximum inclination Angle. When unloading, to remove the adhered substances inside the bucket thoroughly, the bucket control handle can be operated back and forth to make the bucket hit the limit block, causing the adhered substances inside the bucket to fall off due to vibration. However, do not strike the limit block too forcefully and continuously, otherwise it is easy to cause the control flexible shaft to break and the bucket cylinder to be damaged.
Shake off the mud stuck in the bucket
During the rainy season, when working loaders, attention should be paid to preventing wind, collapse, moisture and slippage, etc. When working in the rain, always stay vigilant. When working at night, keep the front and rear headlights, work lights, top lights, instrument lights and wipers of the loader in normal working condition to ensure safety.
