Liugong wide-body mining trucks equipped with Allison off-road series gearboxes have been exported to Colombia

Equipped with Allison 4800 off-road series fully automatic transmissions, 17 wide-body mining dump trucks manufactured by China's heavy machinery manufacturer Liugong were exported to Colombia for transporting coal from local mines.

Colombia is the largest coal producer in South America. Its abundant coal seams are located in a very rugged terrain, and the coal mining process requires extremely powerful and reliable heavy-duty trucks for transportation and loading. The new mining truck is designed with a maximum effective load of 60 tons and a body capacity of 32 cubic meters. It is powered by a Yuchai diesel engine (YC6K13.520) with an output rated power of 382kW and an Allison 4800 off-road series fully automatic transmission with a rated torque of 2400 Nm. Allison uses torque converter technology to smoothly increase the engine torque and transfer more power to the drive wheels. Through power multiplication, drivers can achieve higher vehicle performance, faster acceleration and enhanced operational flexibility during driving. Manual transmission or AMT will interrupt Power every time a gear is shifted, while Allison's fully automatic transmission, due to the use of Continuous Power Technology™, does not need to disengage and reengage, thus avoiding power interruption.

The wide-body mine cars exported to Colombia are mainly used for stripping surface soil in open-pit coal mining areas and for heavy-load travel on simple construction roads with a certain slope. Work in two shifts every day, with each shift lasting approximately 8 to 10 hours.
