What components make up the forklift control device? What is the function?
The control device consists of three parts: the traveling system, the braking device and the forklift steering system. Its basic function is to enable the forklift to move, change its direction of travel, reduce its running speed or stop it quickly, so as to ensure the safety requirements of loading and unloading operations.
The driving system consists of the forklift frame, drive axle and steering axle. The driving system is basically operated through the power switch. Start the engine with the preheat and start switch, and then operate it through the accelerator pedal, clutch pedal, gearshift lever, etc.
The braking system is divided into foot braking and parking braking. When braking is required during the operation of a forklift, use that foot brake device. When applying the parking brake, use the parking brake. It is strictly prohibited to use the parking brake instead of the foot brake.
Forklift foot brakes can be divided into two types: hydraulic transmission drum wheel brakes and pneumatic transmission drum wheel brakes.
The braking system of forklifts is composed of the following two parts:
(1) The transmission mechanism consists of a brake pedal for operating and controlling the brake, a pull rod, a master cylinder and a slave cylinder.
(2) The brake consists of a brake hub that rotates together with the wheel and a fixed element brake hub.
The function of the forklift steering system is to control the running direction of the forklift. The steering system consists of the steering wheel, the steering gear and the steering trapezoid.
Due to the frequent steering of forklifts, the maximum operating force of the steering wheel should be less than 0.1kN, and it should be around 20 to 30N during operation. Therefore, small-tonnage forklifts adopt reversible recirculating ball steering gears, while those weighing over 2000kg use power steering to improve handling performance.
