How to troubleshoot common faults of hammer crushers?
Introduction and Application of Hammer Crusher: The hammer crusher is suitable for crushing various medium-hard and brittle materials. The crushed materials include coal, cement, gypsum, alum, bricks, tiles, limestone, etc. The compressive strength of the materials does not exceed 300 megapascals, and the humidity is no more than 15%. Currently, the hammer crusher is widely used as an ideal product for manual sand making.
Working Principle of Hammer Crusher: The main working components of the hammer crusher are the rotor with hammers (also known as hammer heads). The rotor consists of the main shaft, disc, pin shaft, and hammer. The motor drives the rotor to rotate at high speed in the crushing chamber. Materials enter the machine from the upper feed port and are crushed by the impact, shock, shearing, and grinding of the high-speed rotating hammers. At the lower part of the rotor, there is a screen plate. The particles smaller than the screen hole size pass through the screen plate and are discharged outside the machine, while the coarse particles larger than the screen hole size remain on the screen plate and continue to be struck and sheared by the hammers, and finally are discharged outside the machine.
Faults and Troubleshooting of Hammer Crusher:
1. Bearing overheating
Reason: Insufficient lubricating oil; excessive lubricating oil; contaminated and deteriorated lubricating oil; bearing damage.
Solution: Add an appropriate amount of lubricating oil; the lubricating oil in the bearing should occupy 50% of its volume; clean the bearing; replace the lubricating oil; replace the bearing.
2. Excessive output particle size
Reason: Excessive wear of the hammer head; broken screen bars.
Solution: Replace the hammer head; replace the screen bars.
3. Reduced output
Reason: The gap of the screen bars is blocked; the feeding is uneven.
Solution: Stop the machine, clean the blocked material in the screen bars; adjust the feeding mechanism.
4. Knocking sound from the elastic coupling
Reason: Loose pin shaft; worn elastic ring;
Solution: Stop the machine and tighten the nut of the pin shaft; replace the elastic ring.
5. Knocking sound inside the machine
Reason: Non-crushing materials enter the machine; the cone head is worn and the rotor's static balance is not up to standard; the hammer breaks or other parts break; the pin shaft is bent or broken; the triangular plate or circular plate is cracked; the anchor bolts are loose.
Solution: Remove the hammer head, select the hammer head by weight to make the total weight of hammers on each shaft equal to the total weight of hammers on the corresponding shaft, so that the static balance meets the requirements; replace the hammer head; replace the pin shaft; weld repair or replace; tighten the anchor bolts.
6. Machine vibration
Reason: The rotor's static balance is not up to standard due to hammer head replacement or cone head wear; the hammer head breaks, the rotor is unbalanced; the pin shaft is bent or broken; the triangular plate or circular plate is cracked; the anchor bolts are loose.
Solution: Remove the hammer head, select the hammer head by weight, make the total weight of hammers on each shaft equal to the total weight of hammers on the corresponding shaft, so that the static balance meets the requirements; replace the hammer head; replace the pin shaft; weld repair or replace; tighten the anchor bolts.
