Maintenance
What precautions should be taken when using and installing a clutch?
The matters needing attention during the use and installation of clutches include:
Before installing the clutch, it must be thoroughly cleaned to remove anti-rust grease and debris.
The clutch can be installed on the same axis or on separate shafts. The axial direction must be fixed. Neither the driving part nor the driven part is allowed to have axial movement. When installed on separate shafts, the coaxiality between the driving part and the driven part shafts should not exceed 0.1mm.
When the wet electromagnetic clutch is in operation, lubricating oil must be added between the friction plates. The lubrication method adopts (1) separate oil pouring lubrication; (2) Oil bath lubrication, in which the part immersed in oil is approximately five times the volume of the clutch; (3) Shaft oil supply lubrication: The shaft oil supply method should be adopted during high-speed and high-frequency operations.
When installing the toothed electromagnetic clutch, it is necessary to ensure that there is a certain gap between the end face teeth to prevent tooth grinding during idling, but it must not exceed the δ value.
The electromagnetic clutch and brake are of Class B insulation, with a normal temperature rise of 40℃. The operating temperature at the ultimate thermal equilibrium must not exceed 100℃; otherwise, the coil and the friction parts are prone to damage.
● Power supply and control circuit: The clutch power supply is 24 volts DC (except for special orders). It is obtained by reducing the voltage of three-phase or single-phase AC through full-wave rectification (or bridge rectification), without the requirements of voltage stabilization or smoothing, and the power must be large enough. Half-wave rectifier power supplies are not allowed.
