How should beginners hold a hedge trimmer correctly?
Preparatory work: Before use, carefully read and understand the user manual of the trimmer, and be familiar with the functions and operation methods of each component. Check whether the fuel, engine oil, blades and other components of the trimmer are in normal condition to ensure that the equipment is intact.
Wear protective equipment: Wear appropriate clothing to avoid clothes getting entangled in the machine. Wear protective glasses to prevent debris, dust and other substances from splashing into your eyes. Wear protective gloves to protect your hands from blade injuries. Wear earplugs to reduce the damage of noise to your hearing.
Holding method: Keep the trimmer stable, hold the handle with both hands, and control the direction and height of the trimmer's movement with appropriate force. The operator's body should be on one side of the carburetor, and it is allowed to be at one end of the exhaust pipe to avoid being affected by the exhaust gas. Adjust and control the throttle according to the work requirements to avoid excessive speed.
To start the trimmer: Follow the correct steps. First, turn on the fuel switch, pull the start rope, and after the engine starts, let it idle for a period of time to preheat the machine and reach the normal working temperature.
Trimming hedges: Start from the bottom of the hedge and slowly move the trimmer upwards to trim. Maintain a uniform pruning speed and pressure to ensure a uniform pruning effect. Pay attention to maintaining a vertical Angle between the trimmer and the hedge to ensure neat edges are trimmed. At the same time, the blade height and pruning speed of the trimmer should be adjusted according to the growth condition of the hedge and the pruning requirements.
Pay attention to safety: During operation, always be mindful of your own safety and avoid the trimmer coming into contact with other parts of your body to prevent accidental injuries. If any abnormal situation occurs during operation, such as the engine stalling or the blade getting stuck, the operation should be stopped immediately. Only after the fault is eliminated can it be used again
