Common problems with engine oil and fuel filters:Under what special circumstance

Common problems with engine oil and fuel filters:

Under what special circumstances is it necessary to replace the oil filter and fuel filter?

The fuel filter element is used to remove impurities such as iron oxide and dust from the fuel, prevent the fuel system from clogging, reduce mechanical wear, and ensure the stable operation of the engine.

Under normal circumstances, the replacement cycle of the engine fuel filter element is 250 hours of the first operation, and then every 500 hours of operation thereafter. The specific replacement time should be flexibly adjusted according to the different fuel quality grades.

When the pressure gauge of the filter element alarms or the indicated pressure is abnormal, it is necessary to check whether there are any abnormal phenomena in the filter. If there are, they must be changed.

When there is leakage or cracking deformation on the surface of the filter element, it is necessary to check whether the filter has any abnormal phenomena. If so, it must be replaced.

2. Is it true that the higher the filtration accuracy of the oil filter element, the better?

For an engine or equipment, the filtration accuracy of an appropriate filter element should strike a balance between filtration efficiency and ash holding capacity.

If a filter element with excessively high filtration accuracy is used, its service life may be shortened due to the low ash holding capacity of the filter element, thereby increasing the risk of premature clogging of the oil filter element.

3. What are the differences in the functions of inferior engine oil and fuel filters compared to genuine ones for equipment?

Pure engine oil and fuel filters can effectively protect equipment and extend its service life. Inferior engine oil and fuel filters cannot well protect equipment, cannot extend its service life, and may even deteriorate the usage condition of the equipment.

4. What benefits can high-quality engine oil and fuel filters bring to the machine?

Using high-quality engine oil and fuel filters can effectively extend the service life of equipment, reduce maintenance costs and save money for users.

5. If the equipment is out of warranty and has been in use for a long time, is it unnecessary to use high-quality and excellent filter elements?

The equipped engine is more prone to wear and tear, causing cylinder pulling. Therefore, the old equipment requires high-quality filter elements to stabilize the gradually escalating wear and maintain the performance of the engine.

Otherwise, you will have to spend a large amount of money on repairs, or you will have to scrap and throw away your engine in advance. By using genuine filter elements, you can ensure that the total operating costs (the total costs of maintenance, repair, overhaul and depreciation) you spend are the lowest, and also extend the service life of the engine.

6. Is it fine as long as the filter element is cheap and can be installed well on the engine?

Many domestic filter element manufacturers only simply copy and imitate the geometric dimensions and appearance of the original parts, but pay no attention to the engineering standards that the filter elements should meet, and some even have no idea what the content of the engineering standards is.

The design of the filter element is to protect the engine system. If the performance of the filter element fails to meet the technical requirements and loses its filtering effect, the performance of the engine will be significantly reduced and the service life of the engine will be shortened.

For instance, the lifespan of a diesel engine is directly related to the 110-230 grams of dust it "ingures" before the engine breaks down. Therefore, low-efficiency and inferior filter elements will allow more impurities to enter the engine system, causing premature major overhauls of the engine.

7. The filter elements used have not caused any problems with the machine. Therefore, is it unnecessary for users to spend more money on high-quality ones?

The impact of low-efficiency and inferior filter elements on the engine may or may not be immediately apparent to you. The engine seems to be running normally, but harmful impurities may have already entered the engine system and begun to cause corrosion, rusting, wear and other issues on engine parts.

These damages are latent and will burst out when they accumulate to a certain extent. Although there are no signs at present, it doesn't mean that the problem doesn't exist. Once a problem is detected, it may be too late. Therefore, insisting on using high-quality, guaranteed and genuine filter elements can provide the engine with the greatest protection.

The air filter element is located in the intake system of the engine. Its main function is to filter out harmful impurities in the air about to enter the cylinder, thereby reducing the early wear of the cylinder, piston, piston rings, valves and valve seats, and providing a guarantee for the normal operation and power output of the engine.

Under normal circumstances, the replacement time for air filters varies among different models. However, when the air filter clogging indicator light comes on, the outer air filter must be cleaned. If the working environment is harsh, the replacement cycle of the internal and external air filters should be shortened.
