The cotton picker industry is a niche market with high technical content in the field of agricultural machinery, and the industry has relatively high technical barriers. The domestic cotton picker market has long been dominated by imported brands.

In order to break the import monopoly, in recent years, Yuchai has cooperated with professional agricultural machinery enterprises such as Boshiran, World, China Railway Construction, and Changzhou Dongfeng to deeply promote the research and development of diesel engines for high-end cotton pickers, and has carried out a series of tests, calibrations, and field trials to ensure that the engines are in the best working condition.

At present, Yuchai has developed a variety of high-horsepower agricultural engines that meet the main market demands of cotton pickers, such as the YCA08 and YCK09 engines that are compatible with box-type cotton pickers. The YCK08, YCK09, YCK11, YCK13 and YCK16 models that are compatible with the baling cotton picker.

It is now the cotton harvest season. To ensure the economic benefits of the operation and the speed of the harvest, as long as the weather conditions permit, most areas in Xinjiang carry out high-intensity operations 24 hours a day without interruption.
