Several common faults of wheat combine harvesters and their solutions

The wheat combine harvester is a large agricultural machine with a complex structure. During operation, it often malfunctions, which affect the harvesting. Common faults and their solutions:

1. The cutting knife is blocked. Due to the low reciprocating speed of the cutter and the small cutting force, the straw is not suitable to be cut. The throttle should be increased and the engine speed raised. The cutting knife was stuck by debris. The machine should be shut down to clear away debris. When the clearance of the cutting knife is too large, the clearance of the cutting knife should be adjusted. The clearance at the front end of the blade should be 1.0 and the clearance at the rear end should be 1.0-1.5mm. If the tool holder or the blade is deformed, it should be corrected or replaced in time.

2. The header auger is blocked. The forward speed is too fast, the feeding volume is too large, and the load on the conveying device is too heavy. The machine should be stopped to clean the auger and reduce the forward speed. The cutting height should be appropriately increased or the cutting width reduced.

3. The threshing drum is clogged. If the combine harvester advances too high, the feeding volume is too large, or the moisture content of the crop stalks is too high, it can all cause the threshing drum to get clogged. The machine should be stopped to clean the threshing drum, reduce the forward speed of the locomotive, increase the rotational speed of the threshing drum, or appropriately reduce the cutting width.

4. The grass discharge wheel is clogged. The main issue is that the drive belt is too loose. The drive belt should be tightened. Sometimes, damp straw can also clog the grass discharge wheel. The entangled grass should be removed, and the locomotive speed should be appropriately reduced or the cutting width should be decreased.
