What are the precautions for using landscape spray systems
The landscape spray system atomizes water into tiny particles through high pressure, creating a dreamlike landscape effect. At the same time, it has the functions of cooling, humidifying and dust removal. To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the system and extend its service life, the following matters should be noted when in use:
I. Precautions for Installation and Commissioning
Site selection and layout
Avoid interference sources: Stay away from strong electromagnetic fields (such as high-voltage lines, transformers) and vibration sources (such as large mechanical equipment) to prevent signal interference or loose pipelines.
Water source selection: Give priority to using clean water sources (such as tap water or filtered groundwater), and avoid using water containing sediment or impurities, otherwise it is easy to clog the nozzles or damage the pump body.
Pipeline laying
Pipes should be laid straight, avoiding sharp bends or corners to reduce water flow resistance.
Buried pipelines need to undergo anti-corrosion treatment and be equipped with drain valves. In winter, the accumulated water in the pipelines can be drained to prevent cracking due to freezing.
Open-air pipelines need to be equipped with insulation covers to prevent freezing at low temperatures.
Equipment installation
High-pressure pump installation
The pump body needs to be fixed horizontally, and shock-absorbing pads should be installed on the base to reduce operating noise.
A filter (with a precision of ≥50 mesh) should be installed at the water inlet, and a pressure gauge and a safety valve should be installed at the water outlet to ensure stable pressure.
Nozzle installation
Select the type of nozzle (such as fan-shaped, circular, or conical) according to the landscape requirements, and adjust the spray Angle and height.
The spacing between nozzles should be uniform, avoiding overlap or blind spots to ensure uniform atomization effect.
Control system installation
Electrical circuits should be laid out separately to avoid being mixed with power lines and prevent electromagnetic interference.
The outdoor control box should have waterproof and dustproof functions (protection grade ≥IP55), and be equipped with a leakage protection device.
Key points of debugging
Pressure test: Gradually increase the pressure to the design pressure (usually 4-10 mpa), and check whether the pipes, joints and nozzles are leaking.
Atomization effect adjustment: By adjusting the frequency of the pump body or the flow rate of the nozzle, the droplet diameter can be controlled within 10-50μm (if it is too fine, it is prone to scattering; if it is too coarse, it will affect the landscape effect).
Time control: Set the spray period according to the season and demand (for example, spray for 10 minutes every 2 hours during the hot summer period) to avoid overheating of the equipment due to long-term operation.
Ii. Daily Use Precautions
Water quality management
Regularly test water quality: Test the pH value, hardness and impurity content of the water every month to ensure it meets the equipment requirements (pH 6.5-8.5, hardness ≤200mg/L).
Adding preservatives: If the water quality is hard or contains corrosive substances, corrosion inhibitors (such as sodium silicate) or biocides (such as sodium hypochlorite) should be added to the water to prevent pipe scaling or algae growth.
Change water source: If the water source is polluted (such as turbid or smelly), it should be immediately shut down and replaced with a clean water source.
Operation monitoring
Pressure monitoring: The pressure fluctuation range during operation should be ≤±0.5MPa. If the pressure abnormally rises (possibly due to nozzle blockage) or drops (possibly due to pump body failure), the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.
Noise observation: During normal operation, the noise should be ≤65dB. If the noise suddenly increases, it may be due to wear of the pump body bearings or pipeline resonance, and timely maintenance is required.
Current monitoring: The current value is displayed on the control box. If the current is abnormal (such as too high or too low), it may be a motor fault or unstable voltage. Professional personnel should be contacted for maintenance.
Environmental adaptation
Wind prevention measures: When the wind force is ≥ level 5, the spray should be suspended or the nozzle Angle adjusted to prevent the droplets from being blown away and affecting the effect.
Rain protection measures: Outdoor equipment should be equipped with rain covers to prevent rainwater from entering the control box or pump body and causing short circuits.
Anti-freezing measures: When the equipment is not in use during winter, the accumulated water in the pipes should be drained and the power supply should be turned off to prevent cracking due to freezing.
Iii. Maintenance and Care Methods
Daily cleaning
Nozzle cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to clean the dust on the nozzle surface every week. Disassemble the nozzle and rinse the internal filter screen with clean water every month to prevent blockage.
Filter cleaning: Check the inlet water filter weekly. If the filter screen is clogged, clean or replace it in time (it is recommended to have a spare filter screen).
Pump body cleaning: Wipe the oil stains on the surface of the pump body with a dry cloth every month to ensure smooth ventilation of the heat sink.
Regular maintenance
Lubrication maintenance: Add high-temperature resistant grease (such as lithium-based grease) to the pump body bearings every quarter to reduce wear.
Seal inspection: Every six months, check whether the pipe joints and the sealing rings of the pump body are aged and leaking. If any damage is found, replace them in time.
Electrical inspection: Every year, have professionals test the wiring and grounding resistance of the control box to ensure electrical safety.
Seasonal maintenance
In summer: When increasing the spray frequency, the continuous operation time of the pump body should be shortened (it is recommended that each operation be ≤2 hours) to prevent overheating.
In winter: Before using it, the accumulated water in the pipeline should be drained and the power supply should be turned off. If winter operation is required, anti-freezing type pipes and nozzles should be selected.
Iv. Safety Precautions
Electrical safety
Do not operate the control box with wet hands to avoid electric shock.
Regularly check whether the grounding wire is firm to prevent electric leakage from injuring people.
During thunderstorms, power supply should be cut off to prevent lightning strikes from damaging equipment.
Operational safety
When debugging or maintaining, the power supply must be turned off first, and a "Do Not Close" warning sign should be hung.
Avoid disassembling pipes or nozzles when the high-pressure pump is in operation to prevent injury from high-pressure water jets.
Children should stay away from the spray area to prevent slipping or accidentally touching the equipment.
Emergency response
In case of pipe rupture or nozzle detachment, the power and water supply should be immediately turned off and professional personnel should be contacted for repair.
If the equipment emits smoke or has an odd smell, the power supply should be cut off immediately and the site evacuated to prevent fire.
