Inspection and cleaning of the air filter: The function of the air filter is to filter out sawdust, dust and other impurities, preventing them from mixing into the gas and entering the cylinder, thus avoiding serious malfunctions such as cylinder pulling. During the operation of a chainsaw, if faults such as stalling when refueling, weak operation, or engine overheating occur, the most likely cause is that the air filter is too dirty. The engine must be stopped, the air filter inspected and cleaned, and replaced if necessary. Cleaning method: Clean thoroughly with hot soapy water and then let it dry. When disassembling and assembling the air filter, be sure not to let any debris enter the carburetor.

The correct proportion of the mixed oil: The fuel used by the chainsaw is 90# (or 93#) unleaded gasoline mixed with 2T engine oil in a volume ratio of 25:1. Excessive engine oil can cause the chainsaw to have difficulty starting or fail to start at all, produce a lot of exhaust smoke, and lack of power in operation. It can also lead to incomplete combustion and excessive carbon deposits. Insufficient engine oil can cause cylinder pulling in the engine. Therefore, the proportion of the mixed oil should be proportioned in accordance with the requirements for 2T of engine oil.

Saw chain lubrication and maintenance: The chainsaw is lubricated by using chainsaw chain lubricating oil. During the process of sawing wood with a chainsaw, providing an appropriate amount of lubricating oil can effectively reduce the frictional heat between the saw chain and the guide plate, thus protecting both the saw chain and the guide plate. Before using a chainsaw, the saw chain should be filled with lubricating oil. After starting, wait until the lubricating oil of the saw chain is flung out. Only after the oil is flung out on the ground can the work be carried out. A saw chain lacking lubricating oil will also undergo annealing due to high temperatures during operation, leading to premature scrapping of the saw chain. When the saw teeth are not sharp, a round file should be used to trim them. The correct way to trim is to grind and file along the direction of the saw teeth. The Angle between the file and the saw chain should be 30 degrees
